With a feeling of dread welling within her Shizuru asked her captor, “Just what are those numbers for?”
“Why child,” the reptilian maliciously replied, “those are your chances of surviving both a DNA transfusion (and the subsequent forced gene-shift) with each of the main life forms of the Silver Millennium; without suffering massive cellular disintegration into a viscous and highly unappetizing protein soup.”
“Of course these figures don’t take into account the possibility of a complete loss of sanity, or higher thought processes, not that either of those things matter. From the looks of things your best chance of surviving till a future dinner date with her royal highness is the Mercurian option. I wonder if you are scared of mice and rats like the legends say of most human females (not that it would matter), then again you might get lucky and end up as a chipmunk or a squirrel.”
With the obligatory evil scientist banter out of the way, Dr. Steggy maneuvered the table to a full horizontal position and over towards the center of the room, situated his victim between a black crystalline tile and matching jagged stalactite. Suddenly the creature turned towards Shizuru and said in a tone oozing with sadistic glee, “I know it looks bulky, but this is an older model. I’m currently alpha-testing a newer portable version for field use which will work in tandem with an hidden DNA scanners that our scouts are posting throughout your Toe-key-oh as we speak.”
“Oh by the way, just a fair warning, this will be very painful, so if you feel the need to scream please do; I’m recording this for the queen, it makes for some nice entertainment… as well as a sublime appetizer.” No sooner did he finish, then Dr. Steggy started the process with the throw of a switch and Shizuru was submerged into an ocean of pain as her entire body underwent a forced metamorphosis down to the tiniest stand of RNA.
