Furry Tokyo: The Science of Darkness [Episode 118811]

by The Insane Hiker

Meanwhile, far below the surface in a lab, an insidious experiment was about to take place. It all started just last night after Shizuru Omiya had disembarked the subway upon returning to the Minato ward; when she felt the need to take care an urgent matter.

After finishing up in the restroom she heard some strange noises right down the hall. Curiosity getting the better of her Shizuru went to take a look; however before she knew what was happening a group of bizarre subterranean reptiles had kidnapped her, and dragged her into their tunnels.

Several hours later, after almost being eaten by their queen, Shizuru was strapped to a table in a room that appeared to be a mishmash of some alien mad-scientist’s lab with a medieval sorcerer’s study.

Unfortunately for Shizuru, this lab’s resident sycophant Dr. Steggy was the type that liked to explain to his captives just what was going to happen to them before running them through the ringer, “Now human, I do hope you aren’t too uncomfortable, now let me try to elaborate in a way you might attempt to wrap your feeble mammalian mind around. Thousands of years ago life existed not just on this tiny rock your race calls Earth, but also on all planets of your system even your satellite; however all of these life forms all seemed to have shared a common origin through some single unknown event.”

“This should have seen life take off in common forms all over, that is were it not for the ambient mana on each globe which caused life to take different paths; on your world for example you filthy, disgusting, furless primates arose as the dominant life forms. On the other spheres however; much more palpable pseudo-sapiens emerged, anthropomorphic versions of beasts common to your own world.”

“You see the problem with you humans is this annoying tendency to secrete ammonia through your skin; however fortunate for us your kind are not merely confined to the ape form which you now inhabit. You see because of the mana accidentally distributed by the frequent interplanetary travel back then, the coding for all the other sentient life that are now gone from those now dead worlds exists within every human being; however the success for each kind of transformation naturally varies among individuals.”

“So now,” the reptile man walked in front of an arcane computer, and after a little typing the lizard continued, “… here we go.” After pressing what must have been the equivalent of enter, a terrifying green beam began to sweep over Shizuru body, fortunately this all over after a few seconds when the computer began to display a series of percentages each next to odd names.
