There were warnings on the box itself, indicating that it had small parts and was not suitable for the very young. Two to eight could play.
Ukyo, Kodachi, Shampoo, Akane, Nabiki. And one more.
"Okay, Nabiki's here to keep an eye on us, so why are you here, Kasumi?" asked Akane.
"Ranma's mother asked me to keep an eye on Nabiki, actually," said Kasumi, smiling.
"She's not as clueless as one might think," said Kodachi with a small nod of respect.
"Moi?" asked an offended-acting Nabiki. "You honestly think I would try to take advantage of the situation?"
"In a heartbeat," said Akane.
"No doubt in Shampoo's mind."
"Gotta go with everyone else on this, sugar," agreed Ukyo.
"May the kami strike me down if I planned anythi-" began Nabiki.
rummmmblleeeee crack-a-DOOOOM!
Nabiki frowned and looked up at the ceiling. "I didn't finish that."
"The weather report DID call for a storm tonight," said Ukyo. "Maybe we ought to save Kodachi's game for some occasion when the power won't go out."
"Ah," said Kodachi, accepting this explanation as to why no one wanted to play. Which wasn't true of course, but it allowed her to save face.
"Well, maybe one round wouldn't hurt. So what kind of game is this?" asked Akane, peering closer. "It looks kind of like-"
