"Eh?" Jupiter glanced in that direction and saw Mercury, then frowned and went back to looking to either side of the trail as if expecting an attack to be launched at any minute. "What is it now?"
"I think you've misunderstood what I've been saying," explained Mercury, seeing that she now had a chance to settle things. "When I say that 'martial artists have no place in our battles' - I wasn't referring to you at all."
"Oh?" said Jupiter, sure now that there was someone approaching from off in that direction.
"Yes," said Mercury, happy that Jupiter was listening. "I don't consider you a martial artist."
Jupiter lost track of the figure sneaking around in the brush to stare at Mercury. "You what?"
Seeing that Jupiter was getting upset again for some reason, Mercury tried to clarify the position. "No, you see, it's not as if you're just some martial artist-"
"YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" interrupted someone leaping from the brush.
Sailor Jupiter absently responded with a circle kick that deflected the onrusher into another section of forest. "Well, I'm so sorry I don't meet your high standards."
"Eh?" asked Mercury. "No, that's not what I-"
"AIIIIIIIIIIIII!" said someone, swinging down via a rope, leading foot-first as they headed towards Jupiter.
Jupiter did a somersault that almost seemed casual out of the path of the swing.
"-meant," continued Mercury. "You see, we're magical girls reborn specifically to fight these battles, not -"
"NOW!" declared the figure from earlier, leaping up and swinging a tree branch.
Jupiter blocked, grabbed, and threw. The yellow-clad sentai figure slammed into a tree.
"-some sweaty brawlers like the sort my brother associates with," explained Mercury. Wait a minute, she realized, was Jupiter even listening?
"Oh, I see," responded Jupiter. "By the way, duck."
"Duck? What duck?" asked Mercury.
WHAM!
"Oof," said Sailor Mercury, sprawled out with a figure on top of her.
"Who the heck are you, anyway?" asked Sailor Jupiter.
The figure groggily got up, then seemed to collapse into herself until a paper doll fluttered to the ground.
"Huh?" asked Sailor Jupiter, seeing that. "This means something."
