Meteor: Devil Thing? [Episode 165152]

Humanity was already in a majorly difficult, if not impossible situation. They already had to deal with an untold number of dead, the destruction of entire cities, the disruption of weather patterns, and the disintegration of the networks that they lived by. And that was only a bit of what the meteors had done.

Now there was something other than the meteor disasters, and the reactions of the humans to them to be concerned about.

It wasn't at all threatening to most people, as one would have needed a microscope to really see the 'visitor'. All one would have been able to see at most was that it was a speck on a rock on a beach. But such a plain look could hide a very major problem, and it did so at this moment.

This 'speck' was actually a spore, and was born from a simple evolutionary principal, continuation of the species. On the primordial world that it came from, it had developed a very interesting way of both continuing its species, and defending itself. What would happen would be that it would infect another organism, and bring that lifeform into its own group. This made friends out of enemies, and made other creatures become the continuance of the species that the spore came from.

A single fly landed on that rock, as it knew nothing of the rock, or where it had come from. It had simply seen a spot to rest, and look about itself for both food and predators. That was simply a means to an end, and wasn't supposed to last very long.

Then again, it only took moments for that spore to cling to the fly, and infect that small insect, while:
