"It's Akane you want; hold on a moment and I'll get her." She'd let Akane deal with this -- all she wanted now was to go back to sleep before whatever else life had in store for her today. Nabiki closed the door and headed up the stairs, then knocked on Akane's door. "Akane, your friends are at the door again." This done, she went into her own room.
Akane opened her door and headed down the stairs, eager to see Yuka and Sayuri. She opened the door, smiling broadly with her eyes closed. "It's so good to see you two! How have you been?" Then she opened her eyes and froze in shock. Trained circus bear and pink fuzzy thing waving signs at each other, check. Yuka and Sayuri? Nowhere to be seen. She was so going to get Nabiki for this.
Akane noted that the sign the bear had said #Of course I'm sure!# while the pink thing was holding one saying #Are you sure this is the right place?# Oh, those were probably the other way around then. The bear and fuzzy thing seemed slightly shocked as well, but they recovered quickly, the pink thing waving a sign saying #We're doing well, thank you, and how are you?# The bear followed quickly with a sign saying #We're here for the engagement.#
So, the fluff ball was rather polite, and the bear seemed to want to challenge her for this unwanted engagement. She wasn't sure which of the two she liked more right now. Although, they probably had something to do with those perverted clowns, and who knew what those clowns would do to the boy her father had engaged to her, but he was probably a pervert anyway and would like whatever they did.
"Oh, of course, you can have it. If you still want a fight for the look of the thing though, the dojo is just around back." Akane pointed and closed the door. Now, to just change into her gi, and then throw the fight while still showing off how strong she was. First things first, though. She went over to where her father was obliviously reading the newspaper and tapped him on the shoulder. "Daddy, the circus people are back. They challenged me and I accepted. Will you entertain them in the dojo while I change into my gi to fight them?"
Meanwhile, Ranma and Genma were in the dojo discussing the girl who seemed to think that the pact involved Ranma needing to defeat her to prove that he was worthy. As if there was any doubt of this! #Well, at least she's nice, Pops.#
