Unfortunately this meant that the body operating on instinct and what seemed natural could go off and do something because a momentary impulse set off a chain of reaction. In the case of Ryoga, seeing the escaping-having-returned panda and learning that Gojira-san was actually RANMA, the reaction was to start a fight.
Which was really a pity as neither of them realized a simple thing so far. Neither Gojira nor Gamera were dumb beasts, and though they didn't show much in the movies - the designers had thought of them as being fairly intelligent and observant creatures. That had translated and both Ranma's and Ryoga's cursed forms were actually somewhat more intelligent than their uncursed forms. Not that that intelligence would necessarily get used or even could be used in a number of situations.
Ryoga had noticed one more thing, which was a kid hiding behind the Guide's hut with a little stack of plastic models. He wanted to fight Ranma, punish the panda, warn people about what was obviously going to be a VERY BIG PROBLEM in the future.
Which was when he retracted his rear legs and sent a blast of atomic fire out that fused three cursed springs almost into glass and shot across the valley.
Gojira got a comically surprised look before he got caught up in the grab and found that he and Gamera were actually leaving the valley of Jusenkyo and heading up at an angle.
Ryoga let go of his foe at one point, retracting his head and arms so he could spin and get greater speeds. Which became the problem as once he did so - Gojira fell and he himself got lost.
End result - Gojira went in one direction (straight down and flailing his arms wildly) while Gamera went in another. And then another. And then circling that way. And then finally went in THAT direction.
Nyao took one look up, saw the body falling, and decided to vacate her end of the challenge log.
Shampoo saw Nyao leap off her end of the log and was about to say something about disparaging about the other girl's courage when SHE glanced up.
So she got a brief glimpse of a large lizard just before the other end of the challenge log was impacted. At which point ropes and such broke and Shampoo went flying.
There was only one thing to say at that point actually.
"AIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
