The air rippled and cracked as the dimensional rift opened and a group of human forms spilled out as long silvery tentacles reached through the portal after them.
“Why won’t you just die?” yelled one man with red hair, aiming his hands at the portal. “SILENCE TOUCH!”
A purple beam of energy lanced out from his hands, the symbol of Saturn glowing on his forehead, as the attack met the target.
The tentacle slowly dissolved in utter quiet, as if the sound never existed. It was followed shortly by the portal closing.
“Is everyone okay?” asked the man.
“Yeah, Raiden,” said Ranma Saotome, slowly standing up on shaky legs. “That sucker took a lot out of all of us.”
Nodding, Raiden turned towards a woman with long purple hair. “Are you okay, beloved?”
Hotaru slowly stood up, her Senshi transformation dropping as she took her fiancé’s hand. “I’ve been better, but nothing a good meal won’t fix.”
“I vote for Ramen,” said a spikey-haired blond. Naruto popped his back, glad that the Kyuubi was already recharging him and making repairs to his body.
A man with dark brown hair slowly pulled himself up. “Remind me again why I can’t take that Saiyajin injection, Uncle.”
The redheaded man on the floor just growled. “Because you’re not ready for that type of power; especially not before you go back to your Home-D.”
Nabiki Tendo-Saotome stood up, rubbing her arm, burn marks visible, but the skin one slightly pink. “You girls okay?”
“Yes, Mom,” said two girls, mirror twins, with the exception that one had bright red hair and the other had light brown.
“Is our little one okay?” asked Ranma.
Nabiki nodded, her hand rubbing her slightly distended belly. “Oh yeah, the field held.”
“Welcome back,” said Celes, stepping into the room. “You’ll be happy to know that for the majority of you, this is your home dimension.”
The others looked nervously.
“Don’t worry,” said Celes. “Your package included communication devices so you may keep in contact when you return to your home dimensions. We also have several plans for you in case you want to be able to visit or pass through with ease.”
“And me?” asked the redheaded ‘Uncle’.
“You may go with whomever you wish, or take a journey on your own. And your name is?”
“Dave.”
Celes blinked. “I assume you have a last name.”
Dave shrugged.
“Well,” said Celes, deciding not to waste anymore time on the subject. “What would you like to do after the meal?”
“Probably head home,” said Shinji. “We should make certain everything is okay there.”
The others slowly nodded.
“Well then,” said Nabiki, “we should have one last meal as a family.”
The others quickly agreed, as they left the dimensional nexus.
Celes could only shake her head, wondering who would be taking the demon with them named Dave.
