Unfortunately it had taken him years to work out everything. During that time several other concepts had struck his attention and he'd made a few tweaks and alterations.
The shorter Achilles tendon would force women to either wear high heels or spend a lot of time on their tiptoes. Given the enhanced bustline and erotic sensitivity increase - bra manufacturers would suddenly see an increase in their sales of the appropriately sized products.
Those who caught the illness and were transformed by the magic would also benefit from the experience. Doctor Moreau was a mad scientist with an agenda based on vengeance, however he wasn't evil - merely insane. Seeing the opportunity for some good to come out of it, he added bits that would fix some problems.
A large number of illnesses, physical deformities, dysfunctions, and similar problems would simply vanish during the transformation. No wheelchair-bound catgirls, no blind busty nekomimi, no immune-suppressed transformees. Nope. It wouldn't help them if something happened after the magic had gathered and released its charge - but there was a single line in the transformation process that specified that the transformed individual was completely healthy and therefore free of all curses and diseases and injuries.
Of course, there were obvious downsides as well. While adult, particularly middleaged and older, catgirls could act aloof and wear a proud dignity no matter what was going on - the younger set tended to have other sets of feline behavior hit them often beyond their own control.
Take an innocent ball of yarn and roll it in front of a catgirl wearing glasses and a labcoat. Suddenly she breaks out in a sweat as she tries to control herself and not look at it. Keep batting it back and forth and she begins to twitch as her eyes lock onto the object. Eventually she either leaves or she'll end up almost mindlessly playing with that ball of yarn, making little happy noises.
The same experiment could be performed with a catnip mouse, except that the result would usually be a stoned catgirl as well.
Which led to a lot of cheap dates where a guy would go ahead and buy her dinner and then present her with a cat toy to watch her play with it.
There was also the thicker growth of hair, even if the individual hairs themselves were usually thinner and softer. Since most of the catgirls started taking their appearance (grooming) very seriously, the sales of conditioners and shampoos and hair care products increased dramatically in some areas.
Some guys tried to force certain games with distracted catgirls. Some guys either got beat up, scratched up, or severely thrashed by girls who may not have been fighters before but had suddenly developed combat instincts.
