Nabiki stood up and rushed to a phone and called the dojo. After a moment's conversation she returned to Akane and Kodachi.
"Excuse me, Kodachi," Nabiki said. "Akane and I have family business to attend to."
"Family business?" Akane repeated, and Nabiki nodded meaningfully. Kodachi noted it, but assumed it was merely another plot from their and Ranma's fathers.
"By all means," Kodachi said, standing up. "I suppose they'll talk to me later."
Kodachi was very curious as to just why the police had so suddenly vanished, and was rushing as much as she could without appearing to, to get out of the building.

A very pale and enraged Ranma came out of the room he had been talking to the police in.
"Ranma?" Akane asked, pausing as she and Nabiki were about to leave. She remembered that expression from when she had been a doll and Ranma had faced Saffron.
"Don't..." Nabiki warned.
"I'LL KILL HIM!!!" Ranma roared suddenly, heading out of the building in a blur.
"What happened?" Akane asked.
"Kuno killed Uncle Saotome," Nabiki said, reporting what she'd overheard through her powers. "Nodoka is in the hospital. She's pregnant, but there may be a miscarriage now."
"Oh kami," Akane gasped faintly.
"And the Kuno took the Saotome blade," Nabiki added.

Kodachi, Kumobara rather, was only a few blocks away from the school, following a police car, when Cheng-Huang appeared.
"You heard what happen?" Cheng-Huang asked, speaking slowly and precisely as was her habit while working. Kumobara felt a chill run down her spine.
"I was following the police to learn just that," she said.
Cheng-Huang remained silent for a moment as they continued running, and then gave her friend the rundown of the situation.
Kumobara froze for a moment before rushing to catch up with Cheng-Huang.
"I may need help against him," she said grimmly.
"You do not want to do this alone?" Cheng-Huang asked.
"That may be counter-produtive in terms of property damage," Kumobara responded.

The Sorceress, of course did not yet seek out the self-proclaimed new Shogun herself. Instead she crafted some minions to carry the message. Beautiful brass birds, like phoenixes, sent to her chosen ally and deliver a magically recorded message from herself in all her beauty.
She idly played with her green hair and smiled. The brass phoenix golems would be useful allies to the Blue Thunder in a fight as well.

Tarou smirked and turned to his men.
"All we have to do is follow him and wait," he said. "At least one of our targets is bound to show up."

Ittan-Momen flitted from rooftop to rooftop. She did not want to appear obvious in this exchange, but perhaps she could do a little manipulate events from hiding. Or...at the very least free the man should he be caught.
If necessary...or that Spider-bitch appeared, she would not, however, be opposed to a little open combat.

Onryu seethed and burned as the insane samurai called all foreigners slime and filth. He would need to be taught the error of his ways. And, if the news was correct, perhaps Saotome could be drawn into the situation and he could take some vengeance from the seducer as well.

Daremo-san planned carefully. Certainly this was going to attract the heros that had recently been appearing, but, in case they could do nothing against the madman, then he would move in. He was instructed not to interfere in the heros activities in this instance.
Besides...it would give him and his employer further information about their abilities and limits.

A host of ragged men and women began moving through the streets, brandishing torches, knives, bokkens, the guns of slain police and any other weapon they could grab.
As they passed, they looted and robbed, all in the name of their new lord.
