"I thought that it was a good idea at the time...." Hiroshi protested, pressing his hands together, and bowing his head in apology.
"How could doing that be a good idea?!" his friend snarled.
"It was the only way that I could get the money...."
"From those people? Hiro, you know what they do to people who don't pay them back. Hell, you know what they have some people do to pay back what they owe!"
"Yeah, but I thought that it was a sure thing, and I needed a lot of money fast."
The other boy gave him a flat look. "And why was that?"
"The slave auction was coming up, and I wanted to get one in particular."
"You don't mean...."
"I do!" the lighter haired boy confirmed with a nod. "Just think about it! Akane Tendo, having to do whatever we wanted. We could dress her up however we would like. Just imagine her dressed up in one of those teeny tiny maid's uniforms, having to serve us snacks."
"That would be... interesting...."
"Exactly what I was thinking. Not only could she fetch things, but she'd be doing all our chores for us. And that's only the basic work. She'd have no choice as to wear what we'd put her in. "And how were you going to pay them back, anyway?"
"Installments. I figured that I'd pay them back a little at a time...."

"There is just one thing that I do have to ask though," the dark haired boy murmured.
"What is that?"
"If you didn't spend the money on buying Akane or Nabiki, what did happen to all that cash?"
His friend's face slid into a sickly smile and froze like that as a desperate light hit his eyes, while:
