Akane began embracing the power she had, increasing her strength to its limit. Even the air slamming into him should have been painful, but he was dodging THAT too.
Finally she abandoned all pretense of subtlety and brought both hands down in a piledriver, hoping to use a shockwave to settle if this was indeed Torajin or not.
She got a shockwave all right. Then the dojo began to collapse around her.
Her first surprise was when Ranma tried to protect her from the collapsing roof.
Her second surprise was finding out that Tatewaki Kuno had apparently chosen to try and land on that very roof. Whether it was before or after her shockwave attack went out was not immediately apparent.
Ranma woke slowly, feeling all sorts of aches and pains as if someone had collapsed a roof on top of him.
Oh yeah. Someone had collapsed a roof on him.
"Man, I need to find some better ironskin technique," said Ranma to no one in particular. Oddly enough he was speaking to a knothole in a plank marked "A-57".
"Soun, your dojo..." said Genma, picking through the rubble.
"Oh, that's all right Saotome," answered Soun. "After the third time I numbered all the pieces, worked out sections that would break first. That way I can put it back up in a couple of hours at most."
Genma blinked. "You built a break-away dojo?"
"It saves time and money in the long run," said Soun, shrugging. "You get used to it with girls who can almost launch satellites into orbit without the use of rockets."
"Do what?" asked Genma.
"We've gone over this before," indicated Soun. "Their mother gave them that vulnerability to lead, but also gave them superhuman strength among other things. Now for heaven's sake don't go doing what you did the last time and trying to correct it with lead-lined pits or any such other nonsense."
"Of course not," huffed Genma. Maybe the 'lead pipe cinch' manuever though?
