Torajin: Strategies, Fair And Foul [Episode 178047]

by Kender

Some people might have considered Akane to be rather unobservant, but the truth of the matter was that she could recognize some things, especially if she was looking for them. Should she actually be willing to find something, she usually didn't have all that much of a problem in doing so. That wasn't to say that she was some sort of great investigator, but she was able to figure some things out.

As she tried to not look at the dojo, or rather the pieces that it was in because of her again, she took in the view of her eldest sister attending to Ranma's injuries. They were fortunately minor, with splinters being the worst part of it, but, considering the possible danger, she knew that it could have been worse. That didn't exactly make her feel better, but she at least had something that gave her the sense that she had done something.

In her heart of hearts, she was certain that Ranma Saotome was 'Torajin'. No normal person, no matter how trained he was, could have avoided her attacks like that, and he had done so with what seemed to be great experience in doing so. Added in to that was his natural instinct to place himself in between her and a perceived danger, which was only something that a hero would do. Combined with her visions, which she knew to be always certain to come true, even if she didn't know how, there was no doubt that he was the person that she had thought that he was.

Of course, there was now only one issue to consider as to her revelation.

She had to figure out what she could do now that she had realized that he was secretly 'Torajin'.

At least it was a problem that she could actually look forward to dealing with. There were more than enough difficulties in her life, many of which had to do with men. And to tell the truth, she liked the idea of having something to do with a guy who was not a jackass mentally stuck in another era.

That especially included the jerk that she'd had to literally kick out of the neighborhood, even if it had felt good to punt the would be samurai out into the distance.

"Ah-CHOO!" sneezed Tatewaki Kuno, and then took a 'manly' sniff as he tried to look as noble as he could in the barely lit chamber.

That didn't impress the figure in front of him, who gave him a flat look. "Point that sort of thing in another direction, would you?"

"What issue would you have with such a simple action. Besides, do you not have something to handle such petty matters?"

"I am a magician working in the dark realms of my Art, not a doctor. If you want a cold cured, talk to God. Miracles are his domain, not mine."

"Bah. If you can not do such a simple task, then how can you do what you promise?"

The Kuno heir scowled. "I never said that I could not do it. What you ask for won't be such a major problem for someone like me."

"Then you can do what I have come to this dreary place to request?"

"But, of course," the magician scoffed. "You shall have the power to win your fights. The man that you mentioned shall be at your mercy...."

"Lord McCoy.... That foul foreigner...."

"Ah, yes. And the girl...."

"Was always destined to be overwhelmed by my magnificence. Akane Tendo shall know what it means to for her to be defeated by me."

"As you wish."

"No, as the Heavens demand," Kuno intoned, puffing out his chest, while:
