Cheetah-Ranma & the Princesses: Short break down [Episode 167433]

by Elthial

Sheila walked up to the door and pushed it open, revealing a decent sized room with a large bed, a dresser, a cupboard and several other piece of furniture. She stepped into the room before turning around and smiling at her companion. “Thanks for carrying my suitcase upstairs Ranma.”

“Heh, it’s no problem.” Ranma commented as he walked into the room behind her and placed her suitcase down on the bed. “I'm just surprised to see you. What are you doing over here anyway?” He asked curiously.

Sheila growled, her tail flicking agitatedly. “It's Tigra. He's a jerk! I caught him seducing some Elf hussy even after he _PROMISED_ he was going to stop chasing after other women. I’ve had it with him! He had his last chance and he blew it! He can rot in the realm of the undead for all I care!” Sheila ranted as she paced around in front of the bed, tail flicking violently behind her as she let out all her pent up frustrations.

Ranma idly sweat dropped as he set Sheila off ranting, he had not meant to upset her.

Then in the middle of one of her paces, Sheila stopped and looked down, ears falling flat against her head. “He’s the only one that takes me seriously, and yet he always cheats on me. Am I just not good enough for anyone?” She asked in a depressed tone, looking up at Ranma beseechingly, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.

Whilst surprised by the sudden mood change, Ranma Saotome was essentially the same no matter where he was in the grand multi-verse and one thing he could not stand seeing was girls crying, not when he could do something about it. So scenting the threat of crying, he walked over to the distraught Jagwere and enveloped her in a hug whilst shushing her gently.

“Hey, don’t cry none. Those other guys are jerks who wouldn’t know a good thing if it bit them.” He told her as her rocked her in his arms, he would usually be a bit leery of doing this with any other girl but Sheila was a good friend that had been through some tough times with him and she’d never psychopathically chased after him like the Nerima fiancées did.

Although if Ranma were ever truly honest to himself then he would have admitted that he thrived on being in the middle of all the chaos the various fiancées created.

Sheila still sniffled as Ranma rocked her back and forth in his arms. “Then why doesn’t anyone like me?” She asked still upset as she rested against his chest. “Nobody going to love a defective Jagwere…”

“Hey!” Ranma said sharply, pausing in his rocking and catching her attention. “You’re not defective and there are a lot of people out there that would love you for who you are.

“You sound like my brother,” Sheila snorted somewhat bitterly.

“Well I know this, I like you, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with you. You’re just as beautiful in any form.”

“You think so?” Sheila asked in an uncharacteristically quiet voice as she pulled away to look at him, she resisted the tiny mischievous urge to ask if he found her Jaguar form as beautiful as the rest of her. She was not quite in the mood to crack jokes.

“Yeah,” Ranma told her, still holding her tight.

A little reassured and touched by him, Sheila wiped her eyes with the back of her hands and leaned back against Ranma with her eyes closed, giving out a gentle purr.

Ranma held her for several minutes until she stopped purring and just leaned against him quietly. “Feeling better?” He asked quietly to the previously distraught Jagwere.

Sheila looked up at him and gave him an embarrassed smile.

“Yeah… sorry about that.” She apologized blushing slightly, she paused in thought for a moment before sighing and continuing. “It just came out; I don’t usually fall to pieces like this. I suppose the thing with Tigra hit me harder than I thought…. Sorry.”

Ranma smiled at her. “I know, don’t worry about it.” He said reassuringly to her whilst mentally noting to beat up Tigra next time he saw him for putting Sheila through all this crap.

Sheila broke out of Ranma’s hug and walked over to the bed before collapsing backwards onto it. “It feels better to get some of that off my chest,” She admitted as she lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

“Haven’t you talked to anyone about this before?” Ranma asked curiously and carefully, hoping not to upset her further.

Sheila waved her hand in a ‘so-so’ motion. “Yeah, loads but no-one else understands and I don’t want to hassle my brother, he’s got his own life.” She explained casually to Ranma, still looking up at the ceiling.

Ranma sat down on the edge of the bed but stayed silent, Sheila’s tone of voice indicated that she was about to say more. Sure enough after a few moments of silent reflection, Sheila sighed.

“It’s just a constant thing in my life. Seeing everyone else getting paired off and falling in love whilst realizing that I’ll probably be lonely the rest of my life.” She stated somewhat depressed.

“You’re not going to be lonely for the rest of your life Sheila.” Ranma stated to which Sheila shot him a sharp glance.

“Bloody well feels like it at times. I’m a woman, hybrid size not withstanding and I’d like some attention, but all I get is idiots worth kapowie-ing.” She muttered somewhat irritably, tail flicking underneath her.

“Don’t worry, you’ll find someone,” Ranma stated confidently.

Sheila turned to give Ranma a none too subtle look before smiling at him, she had found someone. Someone who treated her both right and had the body of a god, a spotty cheetah furred god but a god nonetheless. Now all she needed to do was to catch his attention.

“Hey Ranma? Want to go play video games downstairs?” She asked spirits much more uplifted than before. She was staying here for a week or two; she had plenty of time to make him see her as more than just a friend.

Ranma looked at his wristwatch, oblivious to Sheila’s plotting. “Yeah, I’ve got a bit of time before my sparring session with sensei,” He said mildly, internally wincing as he thought about how much he was going to hurt after that session.

“Cool! Lets go.” Sheila said her face lighting up as she grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the room.
