Tessa nibbled her lip for just long enough to notice that she was doing it and stopped. "You're sure about that?"
"As sure as I can be."
"I was afraid of that...."
"I'm sorry that I can't explain it fully."
"That's quite alright," the captain soothed, frowning slightly. "You've done quite enough."
"I have?"
"Yes, you have. From what you told us, it is a threat, and that something in there is not a welcome addition to our section of space. For that, I thank you."
The person from Selene seemed to be immensely proud of what they'd done."You're welcome."
"Well then, keep up the good work, and let us know about any change. We'll be taking care of the situation as best we can."
"Understood."
She nodded even though she knew that the person wasn't exactly able to see her. This was not a good thing to have happen, and she was well aware of how much of a disaster this could be. Since she knew that leaving it be would be a terrible idea, given that it would be an open invitation for the thing to do what it wanted.
