Coupled Union - Childhood Sweethearts: Friendly Greetings [Episode 168394]

by Kender

Ukyo had never been one of those girls who was terribly focused on sensual matters. To her, the idea of leering at a cute boy and cooing over his looks was something to be lightly mocked, and she never really joined in on such activities. That wasn't to say that she was blind, or that she couldn't admit that she thought a boy was good looking. But she was a tried and true romantic who basically had more of a focus on activities like candlelit dinners and playing at the beach than some sort of concentration on physical appreciation and desire.

And at the moment, she was giving her husband a welcoming kiss that was as deep as she could physically manage.

Of course, that was perfectly understandable given the situation. She hadn't seen the boy that she loved for so long that she was now almost desperate for some sort of connection with him. They were in their own private little world, and she couldn't help but try to be as intimate with him as she dare without crossing the line into what would feel 'sexual' to her. Her feelings rose too quickly to be contained, and she held tightly onto the one boy whom she would ever love.

Only the need to breathe stopped them, and as soon as it began to move from emotion charged to overdone, they pulled apart. However, they didn't go far from each other, as they stayed in their embrace, and leaned back just enough to look into each other's eyes. Small smiles curved their lips, and they didn't need any words to communicate their feelings.

"Ucchan...." he murmured.

A little sigh of contentment escaped her lips as she answered him. "Ranchan...."

"I don't wanna ever let ya go again...."

"Then hold me forever...."

"Can... I?"

"I'd be angry if you didn't," Ukyo whispered, and laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes in pleasure.

Ranma blinked in confusion for only a bit, but then slowly let an expression of quiet joy show on his face as he pressed his face against her hair. "I never wanna make ya mad."

"Don't worry about it. We'll be together forever, right?"

"We sure will...."

"Ah-HEM!" mocked coughed a familiar voice, and the couple stiffened as they remembered that they weren't alone in the restaurant. Turning to look showed them a view of Akane with her hand up near her mouth like she had just tried to stop a cough. "Sorry."

"We should be sorry, Akane-chan," Ukyo murmured apologetically. "I guess that we kind of forgot that you guys were here."

"Oh, we figured that much out," Nabiki dryly drawled, looking terribly bemused by something.

"You did?"

"Well, since the two of you hadn't seen each other in so long, it was kind of obvious that you'd want to reconnect. We only stopped it when...."

"Yes?"

"You two were looking like you'd either melt into a puddle of goo or put on a floor show right in front of us. Either way, we didn't want to be watching you to give us a peek into something too private...." the middle Tendo sister commented.

"Nabiki!" Kasumi admonished, her cheeks gaining a deep red color as she spoke.

"Only way to get through to them. Remember sis, much as I don't mind the fact that they're all 'lovey dovey', I'd kind of prefer to not embarrass us or them by seeing something that we shouldn't."

"I suppose that's true...."

"Exactly. And just remember, we have Akane to worry about. Can't let the little kid see adult things...."

"Hey!" barked the named girl. "I'm sixteen, as you well know!"

"I know sis. I know...."

"Humph."

"Sorry about forgetting about you guys," Ukyo told the three sisters, wincing a bit at her previous 'error'.

Her husband reached up and rubbed the back of his head. "The same goes for me. I was just so glad to be back with Ucchan that I kind of... didn't think of anything else."

"And that's how it should be," the youngest Tendo told him so firmly that the air seemed to be solid.

"Huh?"

"She's your wife Ranma, and the girl that you love. You are supposed to have eyes only for her."

"Yeah...."

"Besides, she's my friend, and if you ignored her, I'd have to beat you up."

"Yeah.... HEY!"

A small giggle escaped from his wife as she regarded her classmate and friend. "Thank you for the concern, Akane-chan."

"What are friends for?" Akane asked, clearly answering her own question without a word.

"In this case, they're for enjoying the company of other friends," the chef answered as she gently disengaged the embrace with her husband so that she could take the Tendo heir's hand. "Come on, Akane-chan. Let's go get you a seat so that I can make you something to eat."

"You don't have to make up for anything...."

"Who said that I was? This is something that one friend is doing for another."

"Oh...."

"And don't you guys stand around either. It's time to party, remember?" Ukyo reminded them.

Both of the elder girls, and Ranma nodded resolutely as they followed the two giggling sixteen year old girls to the counter, while:
