Ranma and Nabiki huddled together before the small fire they had in the cave, sharing warmth, as they prepared to sleep.
The spell had taken a lot out of the two, but it was worth it. They now were free.
Well, they still didn’t mind having sex, but they no longer had to do it before starving sex demons.
A lot had changed in the year they had been imprisoned, changed into were-creatures by the two siblings. It was not all sex and food. They had been given time alone, spells to keep children from being conceived—a great boon considering all the sex they had been forced to have and the fact the Undead Realm was not a place to have children or raise them in—and food to keep them alive. They had even been able to learn some fighting styles from their “special” customers who paid for a private showing.
It had taken all of their skills, but they were finally free ... on some place named the Jade Realm. And all they had was the stolen books from Iceron and their own whit.
So they spent some time, hunting and fishing, enjoying the sunlight and the freedom ... after running for nearly 100 km to get away in case someone found a way to trace their teleport.
But then they had to decide ... what to do now?
They could try and find a way home, but would they be accepted. Nabiki may have been trained by Ranma for that year, but even she wasn’t stupid enough to believe that meant she could take on the so-called NWC. The Fiancée Brigade alone would tear into her, and that was assuming their own families would accept them.
They were still uncertain about exactly what they were now. They knew that they had a human and an animal form, but had never had the time to try and find out how to access them—the sex demons wanting to absorb the energy of hybrids going at it and not humans or animals.
“Ranma, what are we going to do now?”
They couldn’t hide in the forests forever. They needed to head towards a settlement; if for nothing else than supplies, a tent perhaps, and even training to fight with magic or hand-to-hand. They would need to find others, if for nothing else than to try and start a life here if they had no chance of getting back to Earth.
“We could try and head for somewhere with people,” said Ranma. “The gossip seemed to indicate other were-creatures lived on this Jade-place. Maybe one can tell us how to change, or even become human.”
Nabiki nodded. While she could still pull off the Ice Queen image, one year being intimate with Ranma and trapped in a world with ghouls of her imagination and legend had changed her ... a lot. She didn’t need to control the business world. She needed to feel both safe and in control of just her surroundings.
Being the play-things for some hungry demons tended to change a person.
“We should go to sleep now. We can go when the sun comes up, Nabiki.”
The were-cheetah female nodded, wanting to further distance herself from the horrors, much like Ranma wanted to do.
Nodding, the two went to sleep. In the morning, the two took off with a normal walk; not in a hurry, but not really feeling the need to be around others.
They had had enough of that in their prison of slavery within the Undead Realm.
Now, they only needed each other.
Truthfully, they had no idea if that alone would be enough.
