Saotome Ranma woke up tangled in his futon. How odd. That hadn't happened in a while...
He'd been...dreaming something. About a large Crystal Palace, and a beautiful woman with buns on her head, saying she was the Queen of Neo-something, and summoning "heros" to help her country in it's time of need...
What was this, a computer game? It wasn't like he even liked those things.
And wasn't it supposed to be the beautiful princess who summoned the heros in this kind of case? Oh, the "Queen" in his dream had been more then just pretty, more like breath-takingly beautiful and regal, not to mention kind-looking, and even the hairstyle with the odd balls on her head had suited her, but -
Ahh, no matter. Even if things had been a bit boring, these couple of weeks - something or other would turn up again if he just waited, he was sure of that.
Things always did.
Though he wouldn't want anything to try to kidnap Akane again or anything like that, of course. That had been - nerve wracking, to say the least. Ew, ew, ew.
Unknown to him, Tendo Akane had awoken about the same time. Big, big, big crystals and a...Queen? Weird.
She hoped it wasn't an omen of some kind.
Though the pretty Queen person had seemed like she really needed some help. Poor woman.
The pig twitched beneath the tree, half bathed in moonlight. The woman was beautiful... and so sad-looking.
Not to mention, just a little frazzled around the edges.
In a house right near the tree the pig was sleeping under, a girl with long hair tossed and turned under the covers.
"But I... Not a hero... Like Ryouga-sama..."
"Oh Beauteous Matron, I, Tatewaki Kunou, the Blue Thunder of Fuurinkan, will most certainly save your country! And your loved ones! Not to mention your most Beauteous Self!"
Kodashi tossed and turned in her sleep. Why the hell couldn't her brother dream more quietly?
She'd wanted to hear more about what the woman with the buns was saying...
Hmph. Well, at least her dreams were somewhat interesting, unlike her brother's!
Saotome Genma opened his eyes, and watched his wife and child of his child mumble.
"Mmmmmmm...husband?"
"...Nothing."
And in the next room, Tendo Souun opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling.
What a pretty woman.
Not the same way his Kimiko had been, but...quite pretty.
And then he went back to sleep.
"Shampoo, stop talking in your sleep!"
"...I'm not, Mousse is?"
" - So are you, Honored Grandmother."
"I am not."
"Am so."
"Am not - "
"Hmmmm. So the plan is, we try to get to this Timeline's this timepoint first?"
"Yes, well, this was the nearest one which had lots of "maybes". Only one "Yes I'm positively coming!" but that's only to be expected, I suppose - "
Artemis sighed, then.
"We're not going to take anybody who's unwilling, Artie."
"I know, Usagi-chan - Potential Hero's would probably quite busy trying to make their own world a better place, anyway. We'd be lucky if one in a hundred manage to come help us!"
"Well..."
Neo-Queen Serenity AKA Chiba Usagi (Maiden Name Tsukino) sighed along with her Advisors, then.
"The Call was set so only Potential Heros were supposed to hear it, but I don't want anybody who thinks it's just a great VR game adventure coming, either. It's not like we have a real reset button - If their Starseeds get damaged, we might not be able to get them back, after all..."
"Yes, yes, Usagi-chan, I know."
"Darn, darn - Just why did not one, not two, but three Major sets of Enemies have to attack all at once? We're lucky that they're spending a fair amount of time fighting each other, I suppose -"
"Oh. About that."
Luna smirked, draped over the Royal lap.
"I've heard that Uranus, Neptune and some of the Crystal City Guards have been - helping them along in that vein. Encouraging them, so to speak."
"Oh, yes. A spot of good news, at least..."
Luna crawled off Usagi's lap then, and touched noses with her mate.
"Artie? You're sure you don't want me to do this? Or just come with you?"
Artemis snorted.
"As I said before, I'd rather have you play "Mission Control" for me with the spare Space-Time Module at hand then risk getting mired down someplace with me, alright?"
Artemis hopped sideways, crawling into the "Space Time Module", AKA the "Time Boat".
"...Alright, then. Say G'bye to Diana for me, OK?"
"You spent a hour doing that already... Now, just go. Go, go, go, go, for you be an Advisor of Queens!"
"Well, yes."
Artemis made a fair try of puffing up his non-existent chest.
"OK, then, here goes..."
