He remembered growing up on a distant world roughly twenty-seven million years previously. He remembered being a perky young redhaired girl, with a pigtail that nearly reached her knees, chipper and upbeat.
Then the Sailor Wars came and she had been one of those whose Star Seed had awakened. When it had, things had gotten pretty bad.

Nike stood near the edge of the building, clutching her useless right arm. "Why? Why, Sia?"
"Because you are Sailor A*0-1," said Sia, nodding to the others to spread out on either side of her.
"We're friends, Sia. We grew up together," said Nike, looking from one to the other. "Kina. Rain. Silver. You know me."
"Yes, but now you're Sailor A*0-1," said Sia. "The Sailor of Ultimate Creation & Destruction. I'm sorry, but you can't be allowed to fully awaken."
"Sia?" asked Nike tearfully, shaking her head. "No. This can't be happening. I'm not-"
"WORLD BREAKING!" "FIRE WAVE!" "METAL BURST!" "THUNDERSHOCK!" "DEPTH CHARGE!"

She remembered. Everyone feared her. Everyone hated her. Not because of what she would do, but because of what she COULD do. Not because she was a problem, but because of what might be. It was one of the reasons the curse and taking up the mantle had both been so abhorrent.
Once done it could not be undone. Once done, any Sailors in the solar system would know and seek to destroy her.
She was Sailor Overkill, as some humorist had once put it. She could channel, potentially at least, the entire energy output of her star - which was the black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
She didn't do that though. Her strength, speed, and toughness were all now a hundred times what they had been as Ranma Saotome. That would do.
The Sailor moved, each kick shattering carapaces and sending bits of daemonic ichor flying. Each punch boomed like thunder and spattered monsters. The only one she didn't destroy like that was the one that she threw directly into the bin of explosive coconuts.
The school uniforms had already morphed. The bark spreading across their bodies, skirt becoming real leaves, arms stretching, bending, and becoming roots as the person trapped by their monstrous uniform became a tree.
Ranma sighed as she didn't have any dispelling power to help those trapped this way. Sailor Saggitarius A*0-1 was Creation & Destruction, and curative magic might have been handy but it wasn't in her purvue.
Not having the heart or inclination to destroy them, she simply turned and left. As they were, they were not a threat and the creatures that would have harvested them were now dead.
Somewhere out there was the nasty who'd worked out this, whoever had sold this stuff to the Principal. Whether at the hands of Ranma Saotome or Sailor Overkill - someone would have to make them pay.
