Especially when the "trained attack lobsters" that Principal Kuno had purchased through an Internet spam operation started mutating into what might otherwise be called yoma. Or daimon, monsters, or some other similar term. Whatever the case, the little lobsters were crackling with black lightning, expanding to twice human size, and beating down the kendo team like they were out to avenge the entire oceanic world for Japan's consumption of fish.
Even this wasn't sufficient to jump-start some of the guys' brains, as they were STILL staring at various girls in dishabille. Those few who had NOT ripped off their clothing (including Akane) were finding their clothes MORPHING into another monstrous creation that was apparently trying to eat them.
Principal Kuno had a brief moment of clarity that maybe ordering from Inferno Marketing had not been a good move. After that he found his own hair (and palm tree accessory) removed by an exploding coconut, and he was effectively out of combat.
The little shredded remains of school uniform flickered with black lightning as well, but if they did anything it might have qualified as a whimper.
Harder to ignore was when Ranma-chan entered the battle, especially as:
