Great Will: One Age Up [Episode 169536]

There was a lot that Ranma wasn't too clear on, but there was one thing that he did understand. Of course, it had taken one sentence for him to figure out the reason behind what he'd seen, but once he did, it made perfect sense. From the first moment that he'd seen her, Akane had not been the same girl that he remembered. She had dark circles under her eyes, a pallor to her skin, and stress lines around her eyes. Just by looking at the hunched way that she held herself, it was clear that there was something that was putting a load onto her shoulders, though it took a line from her father after her reaction to him in the bath to make him understand.

"Well, since Akane is engaged to the Kuno heir, that leaves only my elder two daughters," Soun commented.

Genma nodded and gave a satisfied smile. "No reason to ruin that engagement, now is there, Tendo."

"Of course not. Especially since she's already said that she couldn't think of any reason to marry your son."

"As it should be. After all, she does already have a fiance, and a wife should be loyal to her husband."

All that could be told about Akane's state of mind was the way that her brow twitched, particularly when she heard the two fathers speaking.

"Now, now, son," the Tendo patriarch told his old friend's son. "I have two daughters available for marriage. Kasumi, who is nineteen, and Nabiki, who is seventeen. Pick one, and she will be your fiancee."

"Oh, dear...." Kasumi murmured.

Nabiki gave a small smirk. "You said it."

"What shall we do...."

"For once, I'm not sure...."

The Saotome patriarch crossed his arms over his chest. "Don't worry. As soon as Ranma chooses, one of you won't have to worry at all." "You do realize that Kasumi might have someone that she likes," Akane muttered before she could stop herself. "Maybe someone like... Doctor Tofu...."

"'Tofu'? Who is that?"

"Our family doctor. But if she likes him...."

"Then what?"

Soun grinned broadly. "Then our choice is made! Nabiki, you will marry Ranma!"

"Me?!" yelped the girl in question.

"But of course!"

Frowning thoughtfully, Genma turned to his friend. "She is a pretty child...."

"And she is very intelligent as well. She will definitely be a good helpmate for your son."

"Good to hear that, Tendo!"

Looking over at the two fathers, Ranma sighed, and glanced over at the girl that they had just named as his fiancee. Nabiki was certainly 'cute', but 'nice' would be something that he'd have to see for himself. He didn't know what to make of this development, so he frowned at the whole thing, while:
