"Look, Shar has those Nightbringers of hers, right? Mystra has her Chosen?" asked Hanali.
"Cyrics got his Company Of The Ebon Spur, but there's also this bit about Cyricspawn," said Sune, plucking a report from Oghma out of thin air.
"He's making Spawn?" asked Hanali, making a look of distaste.
"He considers himself to be all sorts of things, a good lover is apparently one of those," said Sune. "We're the goddesses of love right?"
"Of course," said Hanali. "Your point?"
"Sharess? Are you there?" asked Sune.
"Just a moment, I'm tracking someone falling through several planes with an unstable dimensional transport spell. Oh, it's a child?!"
The three goddesses in the pool looked at each other. "That's unusual. Where's this child going to land?"
shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU SPLASH!
"Never mind," said Sune, brushing wet hair out of her face. "I believe I can guess."
Hanali reached around in the swirling waters and plucked the unconscious boy out. "Hmmm. Hey, you two. I've got an idea."
"I've got an idea or two myself," said Sharess. "Though he'll have to be older for that."
"So what do we do with the boy?" asked Elminster. "Shadowdale has enough problems thank you very much."
"Qilue said the Promenade was out," said Storm. "Waterdeep?"
"Oh, there's a fine thought," said Khelben sarcastically. "There's enough problems going on right now with some of the nobles and a working-class hostility building up."
"Someplace like Candlekeep maybe?" asked Storm.
"Ever since that Bane child incident, that's been kind of risky," said Elminster thoughtfully. "Seeing where he came from is more confusing as that Earth has no elves on it."
"Then how could he be a half-elf?" asked the Simbul.
"What are you talking about, he's not a half-elf," protested the ghostly image of Sylune.
"You're right, he's a full elf," said Laeral.
"No, he's human," argued Sylune.
"Some sort of glamor then?" asked Elminster. "He's seen as being human, elf, or half-elf - depending on what the viewer sees as most attractive?"
"That sort of magic isn't particularly stable," pointed out the Simbul. "It's all about... the eye of the beholder."
"Sune," concluded Elminster, Storm, and Sylune at the same time.
"Poor kid," appended Elminster.
