"How do you know that? True Sight?" asked Elminster.
"No," said Qilue. "He put together a windmill on the roof, connected it to the waterpump, and is currently designing a means of using the energy generated to operate other mechanical contrivances."
"He's only been gone five minutes," said Elminster.
"Exactly," said Qilue.
"Well, if he's been Chosen by one of the gods, I can't simply throw him back to his home reality," mused Elminster. "Maybe -"
"He's also got strong magical potential," pointed out Laeral. "He might make a wildmage or artificier sort."
"That's just what we don't need with the current unstable political situation," said the Simbul with a scowl.
"When does 'stable' EVER fit together with 'politics'?" asked Laeral.
"Enough bickering," said Elminster. "If he IS a Chosen - as appears to be the case - we need a stable place to put him until he grows up enough to reasonably be able to defend himself. Any ideas?"
