Ranma looked up from his book (Path Of The Sword by Midori Tanaka) to see a girl about his own age (14) peeking at him from behind the teacher. "Hello."
"Uhm, hi," said the girl, fidgeting.
"You know that the government was very concerned that you don't have anyone to help you if bad people come after you," said Ms Toriumi.
"Eh, I can take care of myself," indicated Ranma.
"I'm sure that's true," said Ms Toriumi. "However, Miss Tendo here is a martial artist herself and doesn't have a sensei. We were hoping she could learn some of your style."
"Oh?" asked Ranma. His pop had wanted him to be a sensei eventually and teach martial arts. "I'm still learnin' myself, but I suppose that'd be okay."
"Oh," said Tendo. "I'm Akane Tendo. Pleased to meet you."
"Heh, just wait till we get to trainin'," said Ranma with an ominous tone.
