Taller, more broadly muscular, his black hair unbound. His clothes were similarly black, shaped of shadow and nightmare and slivers of power. One blackened angel's wing briefly fluttered behind him before fading. It would reappear when his concentration slipped or he dipped strongly into his power.
He went through the burned and blasted remains of the Dark Kingdom, using what he'd already taken to absorb new power into himself. He even found one of those 'Doom & Gloom' girls that hadn't quite died yet. He eventually allowed the remains to die, siphoning its last bit of power within him.
Finally he found a bit of power he decided not to take within himself. There was something... comforting of the feel of the sword in his hand. A long katana, made of some material stronger than steel. His now. Another tool to add to his arsenal.
Mankind was flawed, Ranma saw. Light. Darkness. Humanity itself. All flawed. All diseased and stunted, twisted and useless. Most people might understand that Life=Pain but they spent their lives denying it and putting all sorts of silly empty-headed spins on things so that they could live in a comfortable illusion rather than harsh reality.
Now though, he saw clearly. He could thank those who had ignored him as they'd rushed into their battle. The illusion had been stripped from his own eyes at least.
Strength mattered. Power mattered. Anything else were delusions to comfort those who lacked power.
Yet he could do something now. Accumulate power and work towards a new paradise. You'd have to burn the old, raze it to the ground, but then you could build anew without the sins and follies of the old world to stain the new one. Cleanse the old for the sake of the new. Yes, that was a goal.
Ranma smiled, ignoring the cold that might once have harmed him. The first thing he'd have to do was:
