Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm...Well, even though she was quite aware that there was no such thing as a really foolproof plan, as the 'fools' would prove you wrong every time - it still was working out pretty well, in her opinion.
First layer A plans, OK, second layer B-for-backup plans, OK, too...and as for the Omega options, well, she'd rather have overkill potential then underkill potential, all things considered, so what she had at hand was totally feasible for that.
She looked through the data on the Time Gate again, just to make sure that what she was trying to do was, well, actually doable, and not just seemed like a good idea on paper. Yep, it was - there were quite a few timelines in which something she'd been planning actually managed to happen 'naturally', more or less. Well, alright, then.
And she'd spent enough time planning, she thought. Really, to think she had wasted so much time wondering about what to do or even whether to do anything...Ahh, well. It couldn't be helped. Pluto thought about her former self - well, former selves - and sighed, then. Obsessive and nutzoid but with lots of data on one hand, and severely inexperienced and overly trusting in 'rules', 'fate and destiny' on the other - gaaah. 'Fate and Destiny' really needed to be given a smack in the nose sometimes - or that was how she felt now, anyhow...
Well, anyway, anyway - back to work!
"...China? We're going to China?" Saotome Ranma, AKA AIGES Gatekeeper supreme 'Lightwings' (though he was trying to keep that part of it a secret from as many people as possible and not succeeding as much as he'd like), sighed.
"Well, according to our sources, it seems like the Enemy - or Enemies, as it might be - are trying to set up some major bases of operations right around...here. Have you ever heard of the so-called Jusenkyou springs?"
His direct superior smiled at him, sighing tiredly.
"Oh...yeah. Pops took me someplace near there, once, though we never actually went there. It's near the territory of Joketsuzoku, right?"
"The so-called 'Chinese Amazones', yes. So you are familiar with the territory and local dilect?"
"Well, yeah, I suppose so." Ranma perked up, then, remembering the Joketsuzoku. What had that girl's name been - Shampoo? She'd been fun to fight with, that was for sure...
But then he remembered his current predicament, and groaned. If only there was some way to turn done the Light Gate's all the way when it wasn't needed... He didn't need Shampoo as part of his 'fanclub', darnit... He had enough girls doing that already!
Ahh, well, though - it couldn't be helped.
"Well alright, then. I'll do it, sir!"
Well, OK, now, time to find Hotaru and tell her they were going to China....
Haruka and Michiru both resolutely ignored the small high-pitched cackle that emerged from their comrade and friends room. Some things they could go without knowing. Really.
