“This is not a good day,” growled Nabiki, fetching a fresh pair of clothes from her locker in the gym. Already today she had been accosted by Ranma’s new wife, found out that some martial artists have absolutely no problem with picking on those weaker than them, been locked in a closet, and had to stand the attentions of one annoying upperclassman named Shinji.
Oh, she had planned to pay him for letting her out. She never went back on the word of a deal. It was just that many never fully understood the wording used.
But then he had to go and try and be fresh with her. She found it typical with any male who ‘perceived’ that they had defeated her in some way. They would assume they were the new ‘King of the Mountain’ and try and have their way with her. It was almost a mental version of Kuno’s declaration.
Then again, just because she isn’t as dedicated to the Art as her sister believes herself to be, didn’t mean she was without skills.
So after kneeing him in the groin, tossing him on his back, and tossing 500 yen to him—he still deserved some money for the help—she came to get fresh clothes after telling him in as quick a manner as possible—dirty underwear is far from comfortable—what awaited him if he breathed a word of this and how much she didn't appreciate his new candor.
But now she was forced to question just how safe things were now.
Recent events had just shown that Jane could be very ... unrestrained in certain manners. She had expected Six could just be somewhat dangerous, what with almost choking Akane to death, but that nature seemed to be confined to only those that dared to threaten Ranma.
Jane could be seen as being preemptive in that effect, but the amount of previous data suggested that the new woman had decided to take an extreme interest in Ranma’s life. Six might have been happy to let the threats come to her, but Jane seemed to want to go to the threats first.
“Must have been because of Ukyo,” she muttered. “She didn’t go off like this until then.”
Of course, it could also be blamed on Ranma’s lack of being completely open to people, especially to those who were in love with/engaged to/married to him. Therefore, the most likely reason was that Jane had seen yet another unknown in Ranma’s life, and decided to stop being in the dark.
Shaking her head as she finished getting dressed, and sealing her old clothes in a plastic bag to have an underling take and wash—no way was she going to have to explain to Kasumi why she had soiled her clothes at the age of eighteen—she headed off to finish her business and head home. She needed to relax and not think too much about the pain that was still arcing through her body.
And with any luck, she could perhaps avoid the girls that Ranma seemed at best to be barely able to control.
Of course, the less said about Jane’s idea for Nabiki to be the new Tendo ‘concubine’ for her Master, the better.
But for now, she needed to make up a convincing story to tell Kasumi why she was so banged up. Nabiki severely doubted the new ‘wives’ would enjoy her spilling the truth.
Ranma sat on a bench in the park, Six laying down with her head on his lap, enjoying the tranquility and the sounds of nature, far removed from the pressures of modern life.
Though she could have done without the smog.
It was just nice for her to be with him, Jane gone for the moment, and no one to tease, berate, or otherwise upset her husband.
Yes, this was a good day for Six.
Ranma, however, didn’t need anyone else to make his day worse. It already was.
School was a write-off today, and he just knew that tomorrow would have an extra load of cow shit ready to toss on the fan. Ms. Hinako would consider him a delinquent for not attending the rest of today. Akane was going to have at least seven different versions of why he wasn’t there already thought out in her head. Which meant she would be extra pissed today when he returned home, followed by no less than Kuno, Ryoga, and the fathers all attacking him.
This would then be followed by him trying to keep one or both of his new wives from slaughtering them all.
And of course, that was assuming none of the other fiancées showed up.
Other fiancées... Why did that fill him with a little more dread than normal?
No, it wasn’t because either one of his wives could and would wipe the floors with them.
Hmm, Ukyo would likely not be around today, considering what happened at school in the morning. He sure hoped Konatsu would not be too upset. But she did attack first, so his honor might not allow him to do so.
Then again, this was a guy who willingly dressed as a girl; a concept Ranma had trouble understanding. Sure, he did it occasionally to mess with Ryoga or someone for some reason. But to do that stuff every day for no apparent reason. He just couldn’t understand.
Hmm, Kodachi had some tournament she would still be busy with, even though her school was just starting up. As such, she wouldn’t even be anywhere near Nerima for at least two more days if he remembered correctly. After all, it paid to know when a Kuno fiancée was out of town. It saved him time waking up in fear that she had snuck in once again to poison him and try to ‘break the spell of the redheaded whore of ill repute’ had somehow ‘placed’ on him. Said ritual usually included no clothes, oils, and something called lube. He had no idea what that lube stuff was, but if Kodachi brought it with her, he knew it was something he wanted no part of.
Shampoo? Well, he hadn’t seen her since his return, but then again he didn’t announce his return ... or leave the house except for school today. She also hadn’t shown up at lunch, which usually meant she was busy on deliveries, with no time to bring food for her Airen.
Which meant when she met Six or Jane...? Jane? “Did Jane tell us exactly where she was going?” he asked Six.
The tanned beauty looked up at him. “Nope, she said she had to take care of some business, never mentioned what it was.”
Ranma sighed. Well, it wasn’t like he had even told them about Shampoo. And it wasn’t like anyone was going to volunteer that information. Well, Akane might, but she was still on her ‘new fiancées are whores’ routine.
“Why don’t you just leave, sire?”
Ranma sighed, leaning his head back against the bench. “Then what? I mean, they’d just follow me, or I’d run into someone else my Old Man cheated. And I ain’t running away from my problems, that’s what Pops does, and I ain’t anything like him.”
Six nodded, agreeing with him. Of course, he never mentioned the ways in which he was like his old man, nor did she mention how he was running away from answering their questions about his life, his fiancées, and his reasons for a lot of things. For her, it was because she noticed that if he got into a rant, he tended to speak more about things he usually kept quiet. For Ranma, it was because of Saotome Selective Memory; only wanting to remember what supports your case, and not supports those against you.
And then it hit her; he was attached to these figures. He doesn’t want to leave because he feels attachments to them, and leaving them would be painful for him.
It seemed messed up to her, but she wasn’t one who could speak on such issues. After all, didn’t they spend two weeks with that bastard Herb, and even longer with Fauntleroy for similar reasons, some perverse sense of code and honor? She’d have to discuss this with Jane later.
Ranma sighed, watching the clouds that didn’t promise a Jusenkyo helper in the form of a quick shower. “Man, I need one of those vacation things everyone is always talking about.”
On her way to the Nekohanten, where Nabiki had informed her that a possible fiancée awaited, Jane looked with disdain to those few perverted figures around her who stared at her. Her look quickly made them dart away, as hers promised a slow and agonizing death.
With a little persuasion, Nabiki had been very helpful in detailing weaknesses, strengths, and suggestible courses of action to take. Though if it came down to it, she could always do to them what she and Six did to the Musk. She did so hope that Herb found a fitting place for vermin like himself.
“What are we going to do tonight, Brain? NARF!”
“The same thing we do every night, Pinkie.”
“Try to take over the world?” asked the taller and lankier mouse.
“No,” said the shorter mouse with the bigger head. “Try and win the heart of the new beauty in the cage across the lab.”
Said beauty sighed both in disgust at her former servants now counting the new ‘boobies’ they had on their own person to play with, and the fact that she was having trouble finding hot water.
Then again, being a mouse, she doubted those weird people in white coats would just give her any. “You will pay for this, Saotome,” said the former prince/princess of the Musk. “You and those two traitorous bitches.”
Jane smirked a little. If she needed to do that, maybe she could do something with the enigma again, then maybe she could convince him to at least change him into something better than a lowly human. Hell, she could change him into a dragon such as herself, and she doubted he’d change that much.
Though perhaps she would change that Nabiki girl into a brass dragon or such. It would suit her, since she had the base draconic ideals down. Never hurt to have options.
It was then Jane almost smacked herself. “I could have made him a platinum dragon and been rid of him. He’d have had all the time in the world to practice his fucking Art,” she muttered, finally figuring out what she could have offered him.
She paused in thought, when she realized that they still might have ended up with him.
Oh well, thoughts for a later date. Right now she had some ancient and decrepit human to deal with. Better to do it now away from her dear husband than with him nearby where he would just complain about the pain they were inflicting on the Amazons.
It was one of the main reasons they hadn’t told Ranma exactly what they had done to the Musk. “We’ll have to break him of that.”
If they didn’t, then they might be forced to seek outside help ... from the Diggers.
Finishing with the shiver and true horror of such thoughts—though she was abhorred to admit, but if anyone knew about getting guys to have sex, it would be those trollops—she stopped before her destination. “Let’s see what wonders await me here,” she muttered in sarcasm.
