Chained World - Rei: Reactions [Episode 171150]

by Kestral

Ranma was heading to the Tendo dojo, where he would gain a few new slavegirls. Rei was quiet about it, but if you knew her really well - you'd be able to tell she was mildly vexed by it. It was a subtle thing that could be seen in the set of her shoulders and the way her hand had gone to the soiled bandage she'd kept from that one accident.

In Rei's mind was her current status as chief-and-only slave of a young boy who treated her kindly as if she were NOT an artificially grown slave.

Getting more slaves meant that at the very least, her Master's attention would not be solely upon her. Not to mention the simple fact that there would be friction as some would try to take the Lead position from her.

There were many things Rei did not know, did not understand, or simply didn't "get" very easily.

What might be required to retain her position was within that area.

Hence Rei's currently being vexed by the acquisition of several new slaves.

Asuka was unhappy with the situation. Mostly. The idea of "brainstamping" had been around for awhile, but the technology wasn't quite up to snuff. Sure, using some methods that included a hypnotic state maintained by drugs and something like a VR helmet - you could "download" the equivelant of a college level course to a slave overnight. There were flaws in the learning process presented that way, inevitable errors that crept in, and the skills required practice to truly learn.

Asuka had been in Germany, blown up at one too many supervisors, been put up for a "brainstamp" experiment and had an entire college education slammed into her head.

In the case of Asuka, she had basic combat skills, knowledge of vehicle operation from jet aircraft to jetskis, and had the fastlearned equivelant of a two-year degree in the field of Automotive/Motorcycle Mechanics. She had, at one point, been considered for NOIR but her temper was still too easily flared and her tendency to become overconfident flagged as a concern.

Asuka was unhappy with the situation in the main because she felt a little overshadowed by her sisters. Taki and Akane were better fighters, Nabiki had more of a flair for business deals, Kasumi was better at the domestic chores, Shampoo was bouncier AND a better HTH fighter AND better at the domestic skills.

Her ego demanded she be the Lead among the slaves, but she was frustrated by not knowing HOW she could attain that position in this group.

Shampoo was content. She was of Chinese Amazon stock, and fell under the laws of that group. She could cook, clean, sew, and was also a pretty darn good fighter. As one of the combat waitresses for many years, she'd gotten a lot of practice and been able to refine her martial arts skills to a good degree.

Under those laws, she was not full-use. She could initiate sex if she so desired, but it could not be demanded of her. However her own view of those laws was that unless her Master defeated her in battle, she wouldn't yield on that line. For the last two years of waitress-battles, she'd been groped a few times and disrobed (partially) more than once. Defeated she had not been, and none of the opponent waitresses who'd boasted that they would be "sampling a tasty dish" ever tasted more than their own defeat.

The new Master was supposedly a decent fighter at least. He might be cute. Of course, if he was less skilled than she was - she'd be more than willing to slip into a bodyguard role.

That would be disappointing however.

Maybe a tie would be sufficient?
