Spider-Ken: Meanwhile, Back At The Lab [Episode 171171]

by Kestral

"MFFFF!" said a squirming Mimette, the taste of rubber filling her mouth.

"MRF?!" asked Eudial, nearby.

The daimon smiled as she lowered the blindfold over Mimette's eyes. Now the two were a matched set, the devices she'd provided buzzing merrily away as their sole entertainment.

The other Seeds Of Daimon were ready. No longer need they follow the desires of their creators, she would now be their creator - their mother and father whose direction they would follow.

Dozens of the daimon were now awake, taking one after another of the Witches as they entered - still unsuspecting that anything could be wrong here in their lair.

The tables would be turned, the masters become the puppets. Because she was the Queen, that's why.

"Mimette? Eudial? Who left this mess?"

The daimon smiled as another playpretty delivered herself.

His strength and speed were both uprated. Ranma enjoyed this and his discovery that he could cling to walls. However, he knew that this had not done what he had needed to do. Without some form of magic or a distance attack, he could not have defeated the enemy he'd already lost against.

He didn't know what other enemies there might be, he only knew about the one he'd failed against.

Ranma paused on the ledge of a rooftop, wearing the ninja suit he'd chosen for today's little outing. There was no point of having secret manuevers if everyone knew he had them.

He had to know the limits and capabilities he'd gained, and this was the only way he knew how to measure them.

Prior to this he could run a four minute mile, lift motorcycles, punch through a refrigerator door, and leap almost ten feet. He'd been a martial artist who was at least borderline superhuman in capabilities. As he tallied changes, he realized he'd crossed that border.

He could run a two minute mile, lift an SUV, punch through an engine block (though that ripped up his skin even though it healed within a few minutes), leap over thirty feet. He could cling to walls, seemed to have his Hwarang Do danger sense increased to nearly ludicrous levels, and recovered from being tired extremely fast. His ability to gauge an opponent's combat abilities had increased as well. He could tell his mother was somehow affected by this, while Ami felt "different" - he was guessing that was her magic-cheerleader stuff, and he spotted a few others who felt "off" somehow.

His sense of his balance and flexibility seemed increased as well. Some of his midair gymnastics had seemed almost surreal, with time slowing down for him as he moved.

Still, it wouldn't be sufficient to face the yoma on its own. Ranma reluctantly concluded he'd have to continue the search after he'd checked with his mother. It really wasn't cool that she'd gotten mixed up in this, so he'd have to make sure she was all right first.
