Her mother was the unknown quantity, and had something to do with a two year disappearance of Minsc. He was known to have visited Sigil in that time, but where he went and what he did and who he'd done it with were all unknowns. Boo might have known, but he wasn't talking. The only thing even Minako knew for certain was a name - Ayla.
"The mysterious but beautiful Minako Namikaze. What is the truth behind her origins?"
What was known about her was her strength and durability and clumsiness and tendency to mangle quotes and that she wanted to be a bard. It was also known that, like her father, she had an Animal Companion.
"Treading evil beneath her fashionable but durable footwear, the mighty Minako strides with her miniature giant space hamster companion Artemis Nei Hamtaro."
"Who are you talking to, Minako?"
"For truth, love, and the cause of goodness, Minako Namikaze and her hamster defends her helpless True Love!"
"And WHO are you calling 'helpless' and what's this 'True Love' stuff?!"
Minako glanced down into the courtyard. "I'm practicing my introductory speech and declaration of intent."
Ranma looked up from where he was sitting. "Uh huh. Right. Artemis?"
The white 'hamster' shrugged as if to say 'what could he do' and went back to munching on something crunchy.
Minako was frequently gone, off adventuring with her father.
Others came by frequently, some only showing up when Konidor's Keep was at certain locations.
For example, there was one who was a would-be priestess of Eilistraee. Drow, of course, and therefore looking older than Ranma because of the different lifespans. Eventually Ranma would catch up with her. It wasn't too much a stretch, as the boy HAD appeared in the Promenade under Waterdeep and practically on Qilue's doorstep.
