Pirotess was, without question, a member of the Drow race, and had the sort of face and figure that would make many humanoid males find her 'exotically attractive'. She understood that much, but had other problems to worry about. Being Drow, there were only two paths that the greater society of her people wanted them to follow, become disciples of Lloth, or... die.
Instead, she had never been able to do either. For her, the other races weren't all that bad, and she was rather able to connect with them. With the sort of style that she had, she had never really fit in with the rest of her people, at least, those who lived in the 'mainstream' of Drow society.
However, Eilistraee and /her/ path were much more appealing to the Drow woman, and she felt much more at ease following that direction. In fact, she found it so appealing that she started to look towards becoming a priestess.
And then Ranma came into her life.
If one were to ask her in the beginning why she kept on going to see him every time that he came into her vicinity, she couldn't have answered. He was just a human boy, after all, even if he'd been enhanced by a group of goddesses. But as time went on, she, who had never been 'stupid', realized some important things about what drew her to him.
This young boy simply didn't have any sort of pretensions at all. rather, he simply acted as he thought he should, and didn't seem to care if there was some sort of societal issue going on. Sure, he didn't like to seem affectionate, or to let down his guard, but he did have a habit of doing 'little' things, like giving her small smiles, and never treating her like she was 'evil' because of what other Drow did. Actually, he was also willing to defend her, as he'd faced down some thugs who'd decided that a drow was 'trouble', no matter which goddess she followed.
As time passed, she slowly began to realize that he was important to her, and that she looked forward to seeing him again. Of course, he was a little young, even if one merely went by the human age that she appeared to be at as a measurement. But he was growing fast, and it would not be long before he got to look at her eye to eye without needing some sort of difference in position to do so.
Not that she had ever held the times when his eye level was at her chest level, but then that was only a simple set up in physical growth. At least he didn't do it like some grown men did, as there were plenty of leches out there. However, Ranma seemed to make it easier to take, as he gave her an example of a human who she liked.
Though, giving how he was growing up, it was clear that their relationship could change, even if it wasn't obvious what form that change would take.
In the mean time, she continued to visit him when the keep came up in her neck of the woods, while:
