Setsuna's Fault: Training Manual [Episode 171596]

Since trying to make sure that Ranma never crossed paths with the Senshi was screwing things up worse and worse, Setsuna Meiou called a time out and settled down with a nice cup of tea.

After a few minutes quiet-time she was able to determine that her efforts were rapidly passing the level of Wile E Coyote and heading downhill from there. Her connection to the timestream seemed a likely culprit, the more it mangled and tore - the more her own sanity seemed to go that way.

No, she'd just have to work WITH the new problems.

And, she had to admit, it WAS a set of problems. If Ranma got involved with the Senshi, it meant more than just the presence of an extra pair of hands. It meant martial arts challengers, rivals, unnecessary complications, Mamoru getting challenged by the additional male presence and getting more assertive, magic of a less than helpful variety making appearances, supernatural monsters and menaces that had nothing to do with world destruction and other similarly magic-girl-foe-oriented goals.

Remembering a scene in which a villain had thrown a cat toy into an industrial-sized shredder/autoclave and a Nekoken-submerged Ranma had leapt in, Setsuna decided that if she were going to try and fix it so that Ranma Saotome's presence or absence didn't harm the Senshi - some aspects of his training were going to HAVE to go. In that particular timeline, the shock and horror of the various Senshi to Ranma's abrupt demise was such that two more of them were killed before the rest rallied and managed to beat the Dark General.

No definitely not the Nekoken. There were some OTHER angles that could really be toned down some as well. Yet she couldn't diminish his combat effectiveness too much without risking similar scenes to the one she'd just viewed.
