Setsuna's New Life: Job Adventure [Episode 172753]

Setsuna's eyes widened as she realized that Ranma and Ryoga were applying for licenses as Hunters. These weren't the sort of hunters who went into forests to kill wild animals to get trophies. Instead, they went out to find monsters to stop, and treasures to... well, what one naturally did with jewels and gold. It was actually a fairly respectful way to make money, though some people had a tendency to consider those who turned to such work to be a little off in the head. But they were acknowledged as fighters for a somewhat good cause, and were not tossed off to the side by society's taboos.

This was not a good thing in her view of things. It had been bad enough when Ranma had basically had trouble come in his direction. Sure, he had all sorts of strange things happening around him, but those tended to happen without him having to do anything to try to be involved. Now he was aiming to willingly involve himself in what could be work that would bring out all sorts of oddities and threats.

And Ryoga Hibiki was involved as well.

All that she could do was stare at what she was seeing as she heard the words that confirmed what she'd thought was the case, though she'd been afraid that such a situation would be coming up.


"Why'd you decide to take up being a Hunter, any way?" Ryoga asked, bracing against a drop in the water below the ship.

Ranma let the ship slide down again before answering. "It's just that it seemed right. And my family's been helping people for generations. What about you?"

"Mine too. We've been in a lot of fights. We wander around, and wind up fighting off problems in those small towns that the big guys don't get to that often."

"Ahh...."

The boy in the bandana nodded in acknowledgement, while:
