Akane gasped in wonder as the secrets to the demon-head technique were the first to greet her eyes. Apparently it was just the beginning of a whole set of techniques.

As she read on it became obvious why Genma had been so intimidated of that technique. There were other techniques within.

Among other things there was something like the Hiryu Shoten Ha, but instead of depending on anger and cool, it depended on the number of opponents. The Maelstom of Souls would manifest as chi blasts in the form of evil ghosts and reached its peak at about ten opponents. Beyond that, few people survived the movements needed to set up the attack as there were many openings to be taken advantage of.

There was another technique similar to the Splitting Cat's hair technique that produced immaterial chi copies of the practioner.

A more detailed and thorough description of spear, knife, bow and sword techniques than she'd ever seen made up the most mundane of the techniques.

And so it went, all the techniques given certain flashes to imitate demons or ghosts with fanciful chi projections. Akane wondered if it were possible to take the flavor projections out and save energy that way.

It was quite altogether as powerful as the senken, though it relied mostly on instilling fear, nay terror, in the opponents. Then, while they were down stunned, attacking through more mundane means.

Then it hit Akane that she recognized this package.

Stories from several years ago made an urban legend by the current days youths. An urban legend she'd just discovered that she was the daughter of.

Her father had been Emma-O...the yakuza's greatest hitman...

She felt her blood run cold...
