Elsewhere, a green haired woman hurried to lock her door, turning to start to hurry toward where the Princess sat hugging... nothing. Which had been more than she'd been able to find of Ami when she'd... disappeared from view the Gates of Time. Not just now, but the entire time forward, as if she had been erased from time itself. Which would have been bad enough, but the timeline had NOT changed, or at the very least things seemed to move in a course consistent with how it should go... yet every place one expected to see Ami talking and being talked to, a void was there instead. A void none of the others who talked and teased with saw, which chilled Setsuna all the more.
As she neared the alleyway, she paused as a paranoid chill ran through her slowing her movements down. Her eyes traced the street in front of her, discounting passerby and passerby as they moved passed, then noticed a young lean man leaning against a wall, eyes closed. He wore simple clothes yet made them work well for his frame, the curls of his hair helped give him a slightly younger look than his likely age... perhaps barely out of college if that. And her senses screamed threat to her, yet she couldn't discern what kind it was. It set her on a slight edge, but she kept walking, deliberately passing close. At the closest point, he straightened from his lean. She paused only a moment, then kept walking.
As they both moved out of the general view, she stopped, not turning her head, her voice quiet, and commanding.
"Who are you."
The response was soft-spoken, yet Setsuna couldn't shake the confidence and utter arrogance behind it. "My grandmother said: "Walking the path of heaven, the man who will rule everything."
At that Setsuna spun about, facing the man. He seemed unconcerned, which did little to ease her sense of warning. "That's a rather arrogant and unbalanced thing to claim... almost as bad as following a woman into an alley, One would think you might have something untoward planned for her."
He looked at her indifferently. "My grandmother also said: "Those to take care for are those who run into the fire, not away... " His gaze intensified on her, as he reached into the sky with a hand, a red bug-like mechanism moving to catch. "ZECT should not interrupt that girl or her path..."
Setsuna palmed her own henshin wand, pausing a moment as that last statement caught her off guard. "ZECT?!?"
