Which was why he had said, "I wish that Asuka was my girlfriend."

He was sure that he was a dead man. Once she found out, she was going to show her displeasure, that he was certain of. It had been an odd thought any way. Why would she, who was such a forthright girl, want to date him? She always called him names and yelled at him, but when he had seen her sleeping, or the odd moment when she let it by, he could see something else in her.

But still, he did not know what to expect when he got home. What he got was:

• the fact that his relationship with her was just starting.
• she was a rather loving and caring girlfriend.
• even as a girlfriend, she had to be herself. Still loudmouthed, but with a softspot for him.
• that she was a rather... ecchi girlfriend. Looked like he was about to get a lesson in... intimate encounters.
• she was his childhood sweetheart.
• something else.
