She'd fallen asleep right at the Time Gate's controls - and when there was a perfectly nice bedroom right near by, too. Bleh.
And what time was it, anyway? Arrgh, so it was Sunday and it wasn't like she had any classes today, but she'd slept almost half the day away!
And...
Pluto groaned, then. She hadn't written all her reports yet, had she?
No wonder she'd been dreaming of Professor Tomoe, of all people... Miss Meiou, have you been sleeping in my class again?
It had only been that once, honest, and after that mixer with... Pluto sighed, thinking of the small - very small - Professor. That particular class of his wasn't known to be especially difficult to pass, but it wouldn't do to be tardy with her reports and essays, anyhow.
But first to detransform, and get really clean and fixed up in her base-line form. Well, her Meiou Setsuna form, anyhow - she wasn't planning to start wondering now just which of all her forms were her real baseline form, anyway...
She detransformed, flicking mud off her wheels. Ew. Well alright - now for a good long washing and re-oiling, and a nice good meal, and...
Well, she looked good as Meiou Setsuna too, DeLoreans usually did, if she said so herself. So what if she didn't have the right sub-type marking, if she looked like a DeLorean and functioned like a DeLorean, then she was a DeLorean for most practical purposes. Or so she thought, anyhow. Though the Master Mechanics probably wouldn't agree with her, of course.
And then... Setsuna sighed. It couldn't be avoided, though, and she wasn't planning to cheat on something like this.
And then, she'll do her homework.
Hmmm, hmmm, hmmmm. Setsuna hummed to herself. Well, she'd better start with the obvious anyway, it would help her get into the flow...

Well OK, OK, so the modern scientists didn't know about the cross-fertilization by the Silver Millenium and others, but they'd gotten the gist of it right anyhow, so good for them, she supposed.
It was rather strange, now that she thought about it, that all the Intelligent Vehicles in the world were actually proven now to be all one species, especially when historically speaking, there had been plenty of oppression and even outright bloody wars about just what could be considered a Car, or rather a Person, she supposed.
Setsuna sighed, then. Some Cars - as in Intelligent Vehicles in general type Cars - really were hard to tell apart from the non-sapient kinds of vehicle. OK, OK, she shouldn't be thinking of that particular classmate who looked like a tractor right now, she did know that - it wasn't like he was the least unintelligent, or sounded like a tractor at all once you heard him talk, but...
But anyhow, modern science had proven that all the Intelligent Vehicles really were one species, whatever they looked like. She went through the list of Intelligent Vehicles, then - Land Vehicles (cars and trains, etc), Water Vehicles (ships and subs, etc), Air Vehicles (airplanes and helicopters, etc) and Other Vehicles(any Intelligent Vehicle that didn't clearly fit in the other 3 categories). They were all part of Car-kind, as they all had a common ancestor, and more important, they still were genetically close enough to breed with each other. Oh, there were many problems that could crop up if a Airplane and a Train tried to make children together, for instance, but in most cases, the children resulting from such unions simply took after one parent or the other and were perfectly healthy and functional. Or where healthy and functional, anyway, even if they didn't take after either parent. She'd heard that sometimes unions between Intelligent Non-land Vehicles sometimes resulted in a 4 wheeler, oddly enough - the theory she'd heard was that since the Intelligent 4-wheeler was the very base of their speices, it functioned as some kind of back-up 'base blueprint', so to speak, which did sound likely now that she had at least some of her Pluto-memories, but whatever, whatever.
Hmmm... Hadn't been one of the first bullet trains been a result of a marriage between a Train and a Jet, now that she thought about it? Mixing the genetic stew around was sometimes a good idea, it seemed...
But then, on the other hand - Setsuna sighed, then, thinking of a certain Car she had gone to elementary school with. He'd looked like a miniature plane on four wheels, or something...
Oh, well - just what had she been trying to write about, anyway.
Oh, yes - about the Intelligent Motorbikes and Three-wheelers, and their history, right.
OK, then...
