DemonKen: In The Item World [Episode 174867]

by Kestral

Ranma finished his opponent off by slamming them into the ground hard enough that they bounced up, at which point Genma's Tera Ice attack finished it off.

Practice, practice, practice.

"Everyone, get ready, we're exiting," said Ranma, nodding as he saw the various ones standing around.

Genma nodded, he was running out of whatever this energy was that he used for his attacks. Something like chi, or was it chi?

"Doing pretty good, Pops," said Ranma, looking down at his chibi-father. "Getting the hang of this right quick."

Genma humphed as if scornful of kind words heading his way from his son. "Of course."

"As soon as everyone's recovered supplies and energy, you wanna kick it up a notch?" asked Ranma.

Genma fixed his currently taller son with a cold eye. "Can I get changed back first?"

"Not just yet, Pops," said Ranma with a chuckle. "Think you've learned all you could?"

"I have these basics down cold," agreed Genma. He'd already seen the potential noncombat uses of creating ice.

"So... maybe fire?" asked Ranma.

Genma thought about that as the Ranma's "troops" gathered. Being able to start fires without spending a lot of time and effort might be useful. If it followed the same path as the ice spells, he could unleash a blast of flame and turn a mountain pond into a hot spring - perfect for soaks on a cold morning.

Ranma saw Genma considering the idea. "Come on, we'll just upgrade ya from 'Blue Skull' to 'Prism Skull' then if the Prism Rangers show up we can get ya a sidekick role."

Genma made a face at that.

"You are Queen Serenity?" asked Nodoka, walking with the woman in the area now being turned into a farm/garden park.

"Former Queen Serenity," agreed the silver-haired woman. "You are Ranma's mother, Nodoka?"

Nodoka inclined her head slightly in acknowledgement.

"I was a Queen of a kingdom, who died because of a foolish decision," said Serenity. "I lay dying in the ruins of my kingdom when the former master of this Netherworld came and claimed me."

"I see," said Nodoka. "He turned you into a..."

"It's not like I had a lot of prospects at that time, nor a great deal of fight left in me," admitted Serenity.

"So, you are content with this position?" asked Nodoka, curious.

"We'll see. Apparently his girlfriend must approve the relationship," said Serenity with a sigh.

"Genma's stats are up on the Fight Channel," said someone, pointing at a display showing the Fight Channel.

"He looks the same," remarked Nodoka.

"Galaxy Mage has access to more powerful spells," said Serenity.

"Ah," said Nodoka, thinking that Genma looked as if he was having fun despite his earlier objections.

"It looks as though they're heading for the Land Of Carnage," said Morrigan. "Ah, that must be Honey."

Nodoka raised an eyebrow at the look of the winged blonde girl with the sword. She let out a contented sigh. Yes indeed. Her son was very manly.
