With an angry scowl on her pretty face, female Centurion Petza lead her troop through the Gaulic forest. How, oh just how did she get into this mess in the first place?
She clearly remembered her general's words...
"It is too insecure for the captive to be kept in Hispania, so it is your job to take him out of the country. Back in Gaul, there are several garrisons that don't have much to do... Bring the boy safely to the camp of Babaorum, where Centurion Cavalera will take care of him. And remember: He may not be harmed in any way! He is a valuable hostage, so treat him accordingly."
She remembered those words too well.
Sadly, this included making sure that nothing would happen to him. And too often, the brat was making their life difficult.
Well, at least Cavalera would have to take care of him very soon... That thought filled Petza with satisfaction. Only through these woods...
"Hey, I'm bored! Can we play?"
Petza clenched her teeth. Angrily, she turned back around to the litter that was being carried by four legionaries. Inside, the little Hispanic brat with the violet hair was sitting.
"No! I say no, no, no! I just had enough of your silly requests. You've been a real pest during the whole journey. You bit us, kicked us and troubled us. And now that we have almost reached our goal, you want to play? Forget it!"
"Ah, ah, ah..." Trunks wagged his finger. "You have to treat me carefully, remember?"
"I remember very well!"
"Okay, then I'll just hold my breath until you let me do what I want." And the little Hispanic boy took a deep breath and held it.
Petza groaned. Not that again... The first time he had done this and they had ignored him, his face had turned as violet as his hair... And the general made himself way too clear: Should the hostage be harmed in any way, Petza would be invited to the circus in Rome... as the lion's main course!
"Okay, okay, we'll play..." she grumbled. Trunks let out his breath and smirked afterwards. Then he jumped out of the litter.
"Okay, this is what we'll play: I'm the nobleman, and you are the bandits that have kidnapped me. I'm going to escape, and you have to catch me. But remember: Count to 100, otherwise it would be cheating."
He grinned and ran away.
Petza snarled. "That little brat! Tricked us again!"
"Remember how he let us crawl around on the ground when we were in Lugdunum?" one of the soldiers shuddered.
"Yeah," another one nodded. "And then the town patrol showed up... that was embarrassing..."
"Okay, hurry up, we have to..." Petz turned around. One of her legionaries had closed his eyes, leaned on a tree and was counting:
"I, II, III, IV..."
"COME ON YOU IDIOT!"
"But I have to count to C, otherwise it would be cheating," the legionary protested.

Somewhere else in the quiet, Gaulic forest, two friends were enjoying the breeze of spring... and were looking for any wild boars they could catch for lunch.
"You see one?" the brunette girl asked her friend.
Usagi shook her head. "Nope, Makoto... not even a young one. Also, no Roman patrols in the forest today... I wonder why..."
Makoto grinned. "Ah, they just had enough of us... They don't want to meet us if they don't have to..."
"You're right," Usagi nodded with a serious expression. "The local Romans aren't what they used to be... Think we should mail Julius Caesar and ask him to send us a few fresh ones?"
The two girls looked at each other, then giggled.
Just then, a small boy with violet hair came running out of the bushes, bumped against Usagi's leg and dizzily fell down to the ground.
"Huh? Who's that?"
Makoto looked down at the boy and smiled. "Hey there, kid! What's your name?"
"Out of the way, the bandits are coming!" he shouted.
Usagi blinked. "Bandits?"
"Don't worry, we'll take care of that," Makoto said with determination. As long as she was blacksmith in their village, no bandit would kidnap a small boy in these woods.
Just then, five Romans appeared in front of them. "There he is!" the female Centurion shouted. "Get him!"
"Romans?" Makoto wondered. Usagi grinned. "Hey, fresh from Rome, I'll bet..."
Petza pointed at the boy, who was hiding behind Makoto and stuck out his tongue. "Hand over the child, Gauls, or you'll be sorry!"
Makoto grinned and flexed her arms. "Come and take him, if you can..."
Luckily, she had already taken a sip from her magic potion...
WHAM! BAM! CRASH! "WHAAAAH!" SMASH! SLAM! "No! Not the FACE!!"
Shortly after, the five Romans were piled up nicely in front of the two Gaulic girls.
Trunks grinned. "Olé!"
