Section 19 Log:
Subject: Ranma Saotome-Tendo
Position: Field Operative, Platinum Level; Advisor to General Sato
This is not the first day of my life in this universe. My family and I spent a total of five days here before joining up with Section 19, undergoing several attempts to repair our equipment to continue our journey within the multiverse in hopes of returning home.
But when said device shoots out sparks, and collapses upon itself, forming a micro-singularity that is immediately sealed by subspace ... it is safe to say it will not work for you again.
Thus we made the difficult decision to make this universe our home.
Section 19, or any analog of such by any other name, has existed in many of the realities we have visited. But it is with great sadness that we have always found that it seems to take on a more ‘hands off’ approach to the duties it was created for and charged with. In many instances, they usually lack both resources and knowledge on how to deal with the situations they are asked to deal with. In these cases, they usually leave the situation to be dealt with the local martial artists, warriors, devil hunters, and magic girls.
Strangely, we have never found magic boys. Odd.
Our arrival and addition to Section 19 has allowed that to be changed. We have encountered everything from advanced alien life forms to mystic dimensional conquerors. I have also been hit on by goddesses—the less said about the gods who hit on me the better, demonesses, magic girls, devil hunters...
Note: I need to check with R&D about whether or not the infamous ‘Saotome Charm’ is another curse or can be controlled in some manner. While my wife does not mind the ‘occasional friend’, it would behoove me to try and limit the pool from which she might look for those types of friends to join us. I’ll have enough trouble with that issue alone if this is one of the worlds where my mother is Jurai royalty.
Today, the Sailor Senshi will be added to Section 19’s payroll, and add a new resource to the team. I am also planning reconnaissance to see if any other possible resources are around that we have encountered in our journeys. No doubt I will need to meet with them and explain several things, though I do wonder which Senshi will be the paranoid one in this world.
Note: Set up an appointment with the main psychologist here for Setsuna Meioh, as well as an appointment for physical training for Hotaru Tomoe.
I also need to make a side-trek to the possible home of the Three Fates. If they are here on this world as well, I need to make certain any changes we are making do not create dire consequences.
On a personal note, I am dreading contact between myself, my wife, and our analogs. Files currently available to me suggest that they show no variance between what we once were before our forced trip.
Note: Make my own appointment with the shrink. This raises certain ... issues.
Anyway, predicted reactions seem to follow my analog challenging me or demanding I teach him, my analog father trying to claim and use my own children to fulfill the multitude of marriage agreements that he made, and assaults as well as questions from the rivals and possible love interests of my analog.
Note: I owe Nabiki a dinner and night on the town. She was right; trying to deal with my analog will undoubtedly give me a headache.
I will have to make time to deal with them either today or tomorrow.
Probably today, there is only so much I can do during school hours and background checks, requests for information...
