Section 19: Blurred Meetings [Episode 180028]

by The Demented Redhead

Along their travels through the multiverse, the pair that had become known as Ranma and Nabiki Saotome-Tendo did not always have such a loving relationship. For many months when their journey began, the former Tendo had a large amount of hatred for her pigtailed ally. In her heart and mind, she blamed him and him alone for their situation.

But time still contains the power to heal some wounds, and she grew to understand that Ranma was no more to blame for their situation than she was. So it fell onto those who had tried to get rid of Ranma, and in their haste and rashness, allowed her to get caught up in it as well.

So a friendship was formed, starting with their base desire to return to their own world.

Along the way, they met friends and enemies, loosing both. In one world, they had to fight their analogs, and yet another showed their analogs with sides that while not evil, it was not a truth that they wanted to ever face. They traveled through worlds with technology beyond their dreams, and worlds where magic was the way of life. They saw worlds where technology was at the barest form, and worlds were civilization was still not a standard.

And it was along this journey that friendship blossomed into love.

It was also where they learned from one analog of Kimiko Tendo, the mother of the Tendo sisters, that the female side of the family carried a partial curse/blessing: the females are very, very fertile. It was only because Kimiko Tendo took certain ... measures against Soun that they were limited to three children.

She didn’t remove anything. She just switched a few things, added some secret ingredients that created a near-infertile state within Soun.

To be honest, that stuff just didn’t work for the female line.

But on their travels, the needed ingredients did mot always exist when they needed to replenish their stock, and love and the need to express it in such manners can only be put off for so long.

So, they had many children born during their journeys, and were fortunate enough to not lose a single one.

Three were already college age or above, holding degrees in programs either too advanced for this world, or considered too archaic.

And there were another eight still in high school and below, with one in the daycare program at Section 19.

But it is best not to ask too many questions about why she has so many children. She will hurt you, and then hurt Ranma.

And when he finds out, he will want to hurt you.

But there is something to be said about reaching the skill levels they have reached. Age is not a major issue for them. While they may look to each be mid to late thirties, they are both far older, the results of some magic, some technology, and some personal ki control skills.

But it is a marriage of love, trust, lust, and hope.

And it is something neither would ever part with.

The group merely stared at each other. Ranma and the two Tendo sisters could only look at the group of children before them.

“Crap,” muttered the boy with the book.

“We are so talking to our folks about forgetting important information,” muttered the Ranko clone. “Plan forty-seven-alpha!”

“Is that the one where we blow something up?” asked the chibi-Ranma clone.

“That’s beta,” said the Ranko-clone. “Ready?”

Ranma and Akane fell into a defensive state.

“NOW!” cried the Ranko clone.

All that was left were after images of the group.

“They ran away!” yelled Akane.

“They know the Saotome Secret Technique,” muttered Ranma in awe and shock.

“And executed it a lot better than you, Saotome,” smiled Nabiki.

“They ran away!”

“Man, where are they going?” grumbled Ranma.

“I could tell you, Saotome ... for a price.”

“THEY RAN AWAY!”

Ranma grumbled some more, reaching into his pocket, only to find himself being dragged down the street by Akane. “HEY!”

“The older ones had Furinkan uniforms, so some of them will be there. Let’s go ... NOW!”

Nabiki sighed, ignoring the pained pleas of Ranma for Akane to let him go. “Almost had some money,” she sighed. “Oh well, not like we don’t know where they live. They did come from the house next door, after all.

“And Ranma-baby will pay for that,” she smirked, as she skipped off to school.

Nabiki Saotome-Tendo looked on from across the street as her young analog started walking away. She could only shake her head at the sheer greed the girl seemed to display. “How often did that catch me?” she asked herself, remembering more than a few times where such a mindset had nearly led her to her death.

“Note to self: remind husband why we don’t forget to tell our children important facts like we promised,” she smiled. After all, he had promised he would discuss that with them before he left for work today.

Walking up the road to a Temple, Ranma shivered. “I don’t know what I did, but Nabiki’s already decided I’m paying for it,” he muttered.

“Never an alien invasion or some planet killing monster when you need it,” he continued on.

Nabiki Saotome-Tendo smiled as a feeling went through her, signifying her husband’s fear.

Turning back towards her walk, she headed off to the local branch of her new bank. At the moment, she needed to address some issues since they were going to be here for a while. It wasn’t like they could keep all their funds in their mattress, no matter how much Ranma insisted on it.

Three of the children who had been wearing Furinkan uniforms sighed as they finished dropping off their last sibling at the appropriate school.

“That’s the last one,” said the Ranko-clone.

“We had better get to school ourselves, Kimiko,” said the boy with the book, now naming the Ranko-clone.

“Stuff it, Yugi,” sighed Kimiko. “Yuki, I don’t know how you stand him at times.”

The other girl shrugged, her dark red hair waving slightly in the breeze. “He was a much better roommate in the womb.”

“Ha-ha,” came the sarcastic reply from Yugi. “At least I don’t have to deal with love obsessed kendo boys.”

Kimiko Saotome-Tendo paled a bit. “Damn it, I forgot all about that idiot.”

“Serves you right for looking like Dad,” smirked Yugi, before he darted off, narrowly avoiding his older sister’s slap.

Yuki smirked as she followed the two. After all, it did look like it would be fun if nothing else.
