Akane's Wish: A Cursed Cure? [Episode 176777]

by Sainin

"That's why you were foolish to have me use the needle immediately after my recovering," Futana said.

"I had faith in you. It did force you to focus?" Tofu said.

"You were lucky," she said, giving him back the needle. "It makes me almost sorry I found that manuscript in my search for a... ." She realized that she had already said too much.

" "A cure"? You were looking for a cure, weren't you?" Akane said, suddenly conflicted. Now that she was on the threshold of lesbianism, she was afraid to move either way.

"A cure!? To Jusenkyo?!" There was no doubt about Ranma's feelings. "What is it? If there's anyting I can help, just tell me. Tell me!"

Tofu and Futana exchanged glances. Futana walked back to the house. "I will not encourage expectations. It is just a possibility, nothing more."

"Aw, c'mon! You gotta say more!" Ranma went after her, cajoling her to the point of badgering. Futana was resolute.

But to Akane, quietly, so others wouldn't hear, Tofu said, "It's a moxibustion treatment."

"Moxibustion is where you burn herbs or other things into an acupuncture point." Akane nodded, allowing the Doctor the opportunity to correct her.

"What you burn seems obvious, when you think about it," he was ashamed to admit.

"Obvious?" Not to Akane. The only thing she knew of that was anything like herbs that had anything to do with changing a Jusenkyo curse was "...Instant Naniichuan!"

Only the timely, silent clap of Dr. Tofu creating a vacuum that sucked her words towards him prevented Ranma from hearing them.
