"My mother is used to have her lunch at 12:00," Chibimoon explained. "I suggest some food that tastes great... but not something too rich." She grinned. "After all, she wouldn't fit into her royal gown if she's too fat."
Kasumi chuckled. "Now, now, Lieutenant... that's not the way how you should speak of your mother. But don't worry... I have some recipes that will satisfy her Majesty notably."
She then went over to fetch her 'secret ingredients'.
Chibimoon curiously looked over her shoulder... and sweat-dropped. "In the safe? I suppose it's important to keep them safe from rats and other vermins, but... isn't that a little over the top?"
Kasumi sighed. "You certainly don't know about the sneakiness of some of those 'vermins'..." she said, thinking of Ranma and his father...
----
Kasumi went into her little shack to prepare the main course, when Akane came to her.
"Please, Kasumi," she said in a pleading voice. "Can't I help you? I'll do anything, really!"
"Akane... I'd love to have you help me, honestly! But... this is the lunch for the queen! If I mess this up..."
"I know! This is just the big chance to prove myself! As I said, I'll do anything! Don't you have a little job that's easily done? Please..."
Kasumi thought about it, then she sighed. "All right... while I take care of the main course, you make sure that the soup doesn't boil over... just keep stirring, okay?"
"Yes! Okay, sis! I won't let you down! You can count on me!"
----
Normally, Akane would have tried to improve the soup's taste, to prove that she isn't such a failure in the kitchen as everyone wanted to make her believe... but this time, she made sure to do exactly as she was told. So she stood at the big cauldron like a good girl and did nothing than just stir the delicious-smelling soup.
Suddenly, a red bow, followed by a tuft of blonde hair, appeared behind the cauldron.
"Weeellll... that actually smells pretty good, Private Tendo..." Sailor Venus grinned. "So... what's for lunch today?"
"This isn't for you," Akane said in an annoyed tone of voice. She didn't like the Senshi of Love very much... She was one of those people who kept reminding her that she wasn't as good in the kitchen as her sister.
Minako grinned and came around the cauldron. "You're making your own little stew, right? Something that isn't as stomach-twisting as your usual creations, huh? Well, that's okay... but I would reeaaaalllly like to know how you managed to do this... without turning the cauldron into a melting mass."
"If you gotta know, my sister made this soup," Akane grumbled. "Now, could you please stop insulting me? I have to concentrate on the pot..."
"Well, sure, but... You know, as I'm your superior, you could offer me a bowl of this nice-smelling soup... as a token of your esteem!"
"No! Now go away!"
Minako huffed. "You know, I believe that soup isn't as delicious as it smells, right? Maybe this is just spiced water..."
Akane snarled, while pouring some of the soup into a smaller pot. "This is a gourmet's bouillon, Venus, a special creation of my sister! She only used the finest spices and ingredients."
"Well, I could change my mind if you would just let me take a sip..."
"I said no!"
"Okay, okay... But as I said, it probably isn't even salted."
"It IS salted, you... you..."
Minako grinned and stuck out her tongue. "Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
SPLASH!
Angrily, Akane continued to stir.
"As I said," Minako's voice came out from under the smaller pot. "Tastes as bland as water..." (slurp, slurp) "Mmmmm... yummy..."
