Deep beneath Ranma Island, the ghost martial artist pirate Akane's ship lies anchored in a river of sludge.
In the Captain's Cabin, a ghostly girl was watching the underground landscape in silence.
She was dressed in a tattered black gi with a white skull and crossbones on its back. Her short, spectral blue hair floated around in wispy threads, barely held at place by a black bandanna.
A bony ghost garbed in a simpler black gi entered the cabin, hesitating.
"Captain Akane... lady... I..." he said.
"Ah, " the undead Captain said. "There's nothing like the sweet smell of curry blowing in your face."
The bony pirate would have thrown up if he hadn't lost his stomach. "No, lady... nothing like it... Ah... Lady... I..." he stuttered.
Akane slowly turned around to face her new recruit, and smiled. "It's days like this that makes you glad to be dead."
"Oh yes lady," the bony figure answered with a weak voice. "glad to be dead..."
Captain Akane walked towards him. "Ye are glad to be dead, RIGHT?" she said, and her smile turned into a dangerous grin.
"Oh yes lady," he barely managed to answer, resisting his impulse to run away, screaming. "I feel so lucky that you happened to capture my ship, then murdered me and everyone on board... ...yes lady... lucky."
"Glad to hear it," Akane said. "Now what was it you disturbed me for?"
Relieved, the bony pirate started to answer. "Ah... yes lady... well, you see, we might have a problem on Nerima."
"PROBLEM?!?" the undead captain yelled. "What possible problem could there be!? I've got those sissy martial artists so scared of the sea that even those with Jusenkyo curses are afraid to take a hot bath!"
"Well... There seems to be a new martial artist in town," he said, but when he saw her face when she heard his words, he quickly tried to defuse the situation. "Actually, she's a fighter wannabe. She's pretty but young. Inexperienced. Probably nothing to worry 'bout. Don't know why I bothered you with it. I'll have him taken care of myself," he said, and he tried to leave the cabin.
"Wait!" Captain Akane yelled before he did. "I'll handle this personally. My plans are too important to be messed up by amateurs." (Specially by any new 'fiancees' that might appear) She muttered under her nonexistent breath
Even if he tried not to show it, the young pirate brightened at the prospect of his captain leaving the ship for a hopefully long time. "Yes, lady."
