"So what did you set for the post-hypnotic trigger?" Biko asked.
"Not now," Dee said, back to working the console. "I'm breaking into the lab vault."
"The LAB vault!?" Eiko cried.
"The lab vault??" Siiko asked, coming to her programmed senses.
"You'll never be able to break Grace's pass-code," Biko said.
"But it's not under Grace's jurisdiction. It's under R & D, plus...Security. And I am part of Security."
"With only low-level security clearance!"
"There!" Dee exclaimed triumphantly. "I'm past the first barriers. Now, I just have to think of a pass-code Maid Security Chief, Konoe-san would use."
"I know!" Siiko chirped. "BUSHI!"
"Right!" Biko agreed.
And so did, Dee. She entered, Death before dishonor. "I've got the okay! Guard and hide-No: Hide and guard Ukyo until I get back. Hurry!"
"I know a nearby utility closet we can use!" Siiko said.
Dee came back with a vile of the chemical she had sought.
"Are you sure that's the right one?" Biko looked at it leerily. "It looks like the stuff that turned me into a girl."
"Of course any water is going to look like any other water. But read the label: Spring of Drowned Young Man, Modification #3."
" "Modification"?" Eiko said. "I don't like the sound of that."
"Look, I was lucky to get away with this. I was almost caught. Do want everybody to know that our master ISN'T? We're only allowed to serve a male heir of our old master."
"Maybe "modification" just means that Ukyo won't change back to a girl," Siiko offered. "After all, most of the other maids who were once men don't change back. Hanaukyou-sama had the lab make a "modification" on the magic water."
"Then why are there at least two other types of the water?" Eiko asked.
"Well? Do we use this water on Ukyo, or not?!"
