[Episode 178668] [Episode 178668]"Comeon Usa! Hurry or she'll catch us!" Ranko shouted as the pinkette followed her as fast as she could. She was in a long sleeved dark green shirt with baggy dark blue jeans and was barefoot as she and Usa raced down the palace corridors. In her hand was a sparkling tiara, recently stolen from the chambers of Serenity and Endymon.
"Ranko slow down! Aunty Ami's up ahead!!" Usa called.
"Uh oh!" Ranko said skidding to a stop but it was too little too late as the princess of Mercury stepped out from behind a corner and grabbed Ranko by the back of her jacket.
"You are in big trouble young lady!" she said holding her up to eye level and taking the crown that the ruefully grinning girl held out to her. "Now Usa you should know better then... to..." Ami began then noticed that the shirt she was holding was suddenly a lot lighter and she turned to see Ranko running off with a white t-shirt on as Usa dashed off in the opposite direction. "Oh for the love of! I'm a princess not a nanny!" she said half shouting in anger.
Some time later.
"Usagi, they've done it again!" Ami complained walking up to Usagi/Serenity and handing the tiara over.
"Great, I'll just take a guess and say that they gave you the slip right?" she asked and Ami nodded.
"Those two are bigger headaches then the entire Black Moon Clan combined. Even with their spells that repel our energy right back at us! Exactly when do we get to send Usa into the past?" Ami asked and Serenity smiled ruefully.
"A few months, Setsuna's also decided to give us an extra gift and send Ranko back as well. Apparently she's had a few conversations with her past self." Endymon said and Ami breathed a sigh of relief.
"Whoo Hoo! We got reason to celebrate!" Makoto said having heard the good news in passing.
"True but on the same token, when they get back they'll know our younger selves and have a lot of ammunition to blackmail us with." Ami said trying but thankfully failing to kill the mood.
"Oh come on Ice girl! That's thousands of years ago, besides I'd personally like a reminder of what I was like and what we did, it's so hard to remember that far back. I wonder if I had a boyfriend back then?" Makoto mused and Ami shook her head.
"You keep dreaming there, mine may not be much better but I know for a fact that the only ones of us that had someone still have them." Ami said again being a buzz kill.
"Ah yus, ze path of ze Senshi is a long han lohnly road." Ranko's voiced forced up into an attempt to mimic a wizened old man said from nearby.
"You little smart alek! Just let me get my hands on you, I'll spank you till you can't sit down!" Makoto shouted.
"Ha? Zen perhaps it is wize tu staht a jorny of a thousand miles with this singhal stehp." Ranko's voice came again and there was an echoing of a person running.
"I'm never teaching her any more words of wisdom she just keeps twisting them." Ami said with a sigh.
"That's so strange, she's always so well behaved when I'm around." Setsuna said from behind them, an impressive feat as they were all facing different directions.
"Stop doing that!" Usagi ordered pointing right at Setsuna.
"Stop defending my daughter? But I'm obligated as a mother." Setsuna said and smirked when Usagi turned a little red.
"I've dealt with the idiots in charge of finance thinking that we can just bribe Nemasis into being annexed into Crystal Tokyo with pocket change and had to personally shut up four different warmongering sects who's attack plans were nothing short of suicidal. I'm not in the mood Sailor Pluto Guardian of the Time Gates." Serenity said and Setsuna put up her hands in a state of semi submitence.
"Okay then, some good news instead." Setsuna said and Usagi raised an eyebrow.
"You're willing to send Ranko and Usa back in time later today?" she asked hopefully but Setsuna shook her head.
"I've discovered that a small pocket dimension created from the remnants of the Negaverse that want to make an alliance with us. I've personally met with their leader and he's a very reasonable man. With your permission he will be arriving with his family later today so you can work out a peace contract, I've also personally looked into things and there are no Yoma left in there. There's something else entirely but it's not any form of Yoma." Setsuna explained and Ami's eyes widened as Makoto gave out a whistle. Serenity nodded but Endymon clutched his sword.
"You did use the time gates to search right? Many, many coups were attempted under the ruse of a peace meeting of some kind." he asked and Setsuna nodded.
"Yes, the short form of their history is that without Beril or Pharoh 90 guiding the Negaverse's power it destabalized and became focussed on shadows instead forming a few weak connections in the darkest places on earth, deep ocean trenches, caves, abandoned mines and the like places light never touched became gateways and people stumbled in. They fell into stasis but all woke up at the same time and did what they could to build civilization in the darkness. They've succeeded and now they want allies as well. They have sinister looking but non-evil magic based off shadows and use magic to see in the darkness." Setsuna explained and Serenity nodded.
"By the way did you know what your little spore got up to today?" she asked in a forced sweet tone that made Setsuna sweatdrop, 'oh crap' she thought.
