It was nearing sunset when the Shadow Emperor arrived, followed by four apparently unarmed guards, his wife and four children at first glance, one a fourteen year old, another ten, a five year old and a three year old carried by her mother. Then Serenity in slight amusement spotted a fifth child hiding under his cloak and looking around fearfully. 'Poor boy' she thought. She made a few snap discoveries about the Shadow Dimension as it was being called.
First, no one could tan, whatever light they did have was no where near enough. Second their common hair colours were either dark brown, red, black or white. Third they were a thin but tall people with the emperor being a grand seven feet in height but having an athletic build at best. Fourth, they were highly magical each one including the fourteen year old the ten year old and the child hiding behind his father had at least a moderate grasp of magic. Fifth, they wore a lot of black and wore it well.
"Greetings Shadow Emperor, I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that you wished to make an Alliance with us." Serenity said and he nodded.
"It is what is best for my people, enshrouded within darkness or not we are still human despite the many difference between our kingdoms." He said slowly with all his words carefully guided. Serenity smiled, this would work.
"Excellent, now I'm sure your family will be interested in seeing more of our world. I have arranged for some of our guards to guide them about." Serenity said and the Emperor nodded.
"Drask stop hiding you'll offend them." he said to the child hiding behind him and he stepped out revealing to have auburn hair like his mother and to be a very nervous child. "Forgive him Lady Serenity he is uncomfortable dealing with people and has a rather bad knack for saying what he should not without even realizing it." he said and Serenity nodded.
"Of course, it's no problem. Perhaps my daughter would be better to show him about though?" She suggested and raised an eyebrow as he quickly turned to his son and his mouth moved furiously but no sound came out but he obviously heard it and nodded furiously.
"That sounds wonderful, he could use a friend his age." he agreed and a few minutes later Usa came in to meet him with Ranko in tow as the rest of Drask's family being shown around with the guards and his father in a conference room with Serenity, Endymon, Ami, Makoto and Rei.
"Hi!" she said enthusiastically.
"Um, hello." he said nervously.
"So your mom want's us to play with him hunh? Alright let's go!" Ranko said grabbing one of his arms as Usa grabbed the other then started to run with him trying to keep up.
"Hey! Wait! Where are we going?" Drask half shouted.
"Who cares! We're going!" Usa shouted as they broke off and motioned for him to follow. He nodded and ran as fast as he could.
"Stop!" Ranko called all of a sudden skidding to a halt.
"Wait!" Usa shouted doing the same.
"Ack!" Drask said tripping and landing badly.
"Are you okay?" Usa asked helping him up.
"I've had worse." he said brushing himself off.
"Hey don't get snippy on me!" Usa said in a huff.
"Who's snippy?" came the honest but defensive question.
"You are!" Usa snapped.
"Am not!" he countered.
"Time out!" Ranko shouted. "Drask did you mean to sound snippy?" she asked and he shook his head. "There see Usa, he didn't mean it." Ranko reasoned and Usa's temper deflated.
"Fine." she said. "So why'd we stop anyways?" she asked.
"Um... I kinda got lost running." Ranko admitted. "Do you know where we are Usa?" she asked and Usa looked around then shook her head.
"Uh..." Drask started.
"You know where we are?" Ranko asked surprised and her eyes widened when he nodded.
"I uh remember how to get back." he said and Usa and Ranko smiled at each other.
"Lead on." they said at once and he nodded and started walking back the way they came.
