Of course, he was twitching a lot, and wasn't exactly stable at the moment, but that was ignored as someone of his ilk simply could not be so weak or act in an embarrassing way.
Rather, he put it down to an overwhelming level of success with the device. The only way that it could do anything would be to help him, and he was certain that its work was made much easier by the intellect that he had. In fact, he was so certain that he had to have met with success, he decided right then and there to speak of the knowledge that he had to those who might be listening. So, he opened his mouth to speak in tones of strength and gravity.
What he got was not a single sound coming from his mouth.
Scowling, he put his hand to his mouth, and then his throat, and tried to speak again. When that didn't work he opened his mouth, and tried to yell. Then he let his hands fist at his sides, and he began to snarl about his annoyance. However, the only sound that he made came from the flapping of his lips, and despite his anger contorted features, it was clear that not a sound could come from his mouth.
Such a thing could only be the work of someone trying to keep him from his sacred duties. Just the fact that it would keep him from vocalizing his terms of endearment for his beloved Akane was reason enough to hate this silence. He knew that he had to communicate somehow, though he did not know what form it would take. The need was there, and he was absolutely certain that the Heavens would provide for him. If they did not, then he would be cut off from telling the world what he wished it to know, and that was not something that he could accept. All that he knew was that he had to have some way of talking to those around him, and he knew that he would find some way to do it.
'There can not be a way for the chosen of the Heaven's would fail!' the sign that he held stated.
Then... he began to wonder where the sign had come from. As far as he could tell, he hadn't even known where the wood was for the sign, never mind the fact that he had written on it. Luckily for him, it was a big help, and he was certain that this could assist him quite well. It was not a 'true' voice, but it would help him communicate what he wanted to say.
