Not that Sayuri had found a reason to blame her for that. After all, it wasn't every day that one's friend came over to tell them that she wanted to do something rather... discouraged, and bring them with her. "(Are you serious?)"
"(Of course I am,)" Akane answered tartly, giving an exaggerated sniff. "(You two are my friends, and if I can keep us together, I want to do that.)"
"(But....)"
"(What?)"
"(Don't you want someone else? You know, who has something that can really be used in a fight?)"
Yuka gave a small nod of agreement. "(Not that we wouldn't try. But you do realize that we're not front line fighters. Why not go after someone like... that A-Bra, Miyo.)"
"(Oh, I want her on my team too,)" the gynoid confirmed.
"(Then, why not get her?)"
"(I wanted to try and get you guys....)"
"(And?)"
"(She keeps on avoiding me. It's like she knows that I'm coming,)" Akane complained, looking thoroughly disgruntled as she did so.
The other two pokegirls looked at each other, then at their friend, and then back at each other... before breaking out into giggles.
"(Yeah, yeah.... laugh it up.)"
"(Sorry about that,)" Sayuri apologized, trying to wave away any offense. "(It's just that you that look on your face....)"
"(Great.... Listen, do you want to come with me? You might not be big fighters, but I know, I'm sure that you'll be a big help in your own ways.)"
"(Well....)"
"(It's either come with me, or wind up belonging to some college kid, or high schooler.)"
This time, when the non-combatant pair looked at each other, they shared a similar measuring expression. It was a simple choice, as they could either go, or stay. And, given the fact that they knew that there had been a particular pair of boys who'd shown interest in them, there was only one choice that they could make.
"(How do we get going?)" Yuka asked.
Akane smirked and held up a pair of pokeballs. "I thought that you'd never ask."
Her friends looked towards her, nodded, and then... activated the pokeballs themselves, thus putting themselves inside of them.
That mildly surprised the gynoid, who quickly shook it off, and hurried to make sure that her friends' place with her was secure, while:
