"Nah," said Ranma, "let's not get into a fight with those Disney lawyers. I hear they can be kinda brutal."
"Shadow Empire?"
Ranma paused as he thought about that one. "Put it on the list. It has a good ring to it. What all is on the list now?"
"The 'Shadow Empire', 'Heavy Metal Kingdom', 'Twilight Kingdom', 'Happyland', 'Imperia', and 'Coruscant'," answered the secretary yoma.
"Actually I was kidding about 'Happyland' on the list," said Ranma. "While it would serve to confuse our enemies, it just doesn't capture the mood. Oh, and instead of Shadow Empire, let's use a foreign word for Shadow. That way it will sound exotic and not be quite so negative. What about the other operations?"
"The love hotel catering to the otaku crowd in Akihabara reports 150% of quota," said the secretary, deciding to lead with good news. "Apparently the word has gotten out around their little circles."
"Excellent," said Ranma. "Put the excess into reserve, we can draw on that if we suffer any setbacks. What else?"
"The 'Aggression Dampers' are being tested in some of the high security prisons," said the secretary. "So far the results have been good."
Ranma nodded. Draining energy from extremely violent criminals, low level so as not to kill them only leave them lethargic regularly - it was just one of the ideas coming out from his loyal minions now that he was encouraging their creativity within limits. A minor janitorial yoma was proving that sneaky was its own reward.
"Danburite may need to be dealt with," said the secretary. "He is questioning your authority and wants to speak with the other Dark Generals."
"I see," said Ranma. "Does he know how I dealt with Kunzite?"
"From his comments, he does not believe it," said the secretary yoma.
"I'm going to have to repeat that lesson then," said Ranma. "Requisition enough power for a round-trip teleport to London. It's a shame though."
"Danburite's loss will leave an opening in the European operations branch," noted the secretary.
"Jedite can handle it," said Ranma. "At least temporarily. Find a candidate to relieve him after proper training."
"Sailor Pluto has not yet made a move on any of those you sent imp-yoma to watch with those devices," said the secretary. "Are you certain?"
"No," said Ranma. "It is merely one of several possibilities, but covering these things is one of the style differences between myself and our illustrious former Queen."
"Our work at converting magical energies into something we can use continues, but without results so far," said the secretary.
"That's the problem with research, you're fumbling around in the dark trying to recognize the feel of an answer when you can't even see it," said Ranma. "Unfortunately necessary. Tell 'em to keep an eye out for winged busybodies but if they have to drain Jusenkyo - find a way."
"Yes, My Lord," said the secretary.
"Oh, and it's lunchtime. I know you just do the energy schtick, but I'll take four ham-and-cheese sandwiches with mustard. Oh, and this time - have them put the mustard ON the sandwich."
"Yes, My Lord," agreed the secretary.
